Mary Sue Robinson

Mary Sue Robinson

Mary Sue Robinson, daughter of the late Slater Nathanel Howell and Nancy Leoma Hooper Howell was born on February 24, 1924 in Bolivar, Tennessee and passed away on September 24, 2013 at the Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Center in Dexter at the age of 89.

Mrs. Robinson was a homemaker, a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Dexter and a resident of Bernie.

On October 5, 1939 she was united in marriage to William Thomas Robinson.  Mr. Robinson preceded her in death on January 7, 1996.  She later married Vallie Walls on February 14, 2001.  Mr. Walls preceded her in death on November 27, 2012.

She is survived by one son, Thomas Robinson Jr. and wife Carolyn of Bernie; by one daughter, Doris Ann Turner and husband Wendell of Bernie; by five grandchildren, William Robinson, Mary Tonya Salsman, Marcus Turner, Kyle Turner and Lorn-Nicole Robinson; by eight great-grandchildren, William Holden Robinson, Christie Kneir, Craig Salsman, Lauren Turner, Emily Turner, Hannah Turner, Miranda Turner and Isabelle Turner and by one great-great granddaughter, Anasten.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Gale Loren Robinson; by two brothers, Elmo Howell and Marvin Howell and by two sisters, Ruth Rush and Ruby McFall.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie on Thursday, September 26, 2013 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. 

Funeral services will then be conducted on Thursday at 1:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Dr. Tom Bass officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff cemetery.

Alfred Gadberry

Alfred Gadberry, son of the late Oscar Gadberry and Helen Gibbs Gadberry, was born on September 11, 1937 at St. Louis, Missouri and passed away on September 23, 2013 at SoutheastHealth Center of Stoddard County in Dexter on September 23, 2013 at the age of 76 years.

 

Mr. Gadberry had worked as a security guard at Tyson Foods, Inc. and as a self-employed carpenter.

 

He is survived by one son, Leonard Dale Gadberry, of Dexter; two daughters, Rebecca Harris and Shirley Kinkead, both of Dexter; by two brothers and one sister; by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother.

 

Graveside services will be conducted on Friday September 27, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.

 

Arrangements were conducted by the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Full Military Honors will be provided.

Jerry Triplett

Jerry Fredrick Triplett, son of the late Fred Triplett and Essie Williamson Triplett was born on May 31, 1933 at Essex and departed this life in the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center on September 20, 2013 at the age of 80 years.

Mr. Triplett was a former millwright, a former maintenance employee of the City of Ellsinore and a resident of Ellsinore.

He was united in marriage to Wilma Rodgers Stahl on November 27, 1980 at Ellsinore.  Mrs. Triplett survives of the home.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son Jerry F. Triplett Jr. and wife Debbie of Dexter: by one daughter, Terry Triplett of Bloomfield: by one step-son, Barry Stahl and wife Joyce of Ellsinore: by four step-daughters and their spouses, Karen and Rodney Colyott of Highland, California, Paula and Randy Yancey of Dexter, Debbie and Mike Jarrell of Dexter and Sandy and Mike Combs of Branson: by seventeen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Dr. Bob Lee officiating.  Interment followed in the Triplett Cemetery near Essex.

Brenda Ross
Brenda Ross, daughter of the late William and Bonnie Parks Christman, was born in Bloomfield, Missouri on October 22, 1947, and passed away at her home in Bloomfield, Missouri on September 21 2013, at the age of 65 years, 10 months and 30 days.

She had lived in Bloomfield all of her life. She had worked at Hair Heaven as a hair dresser.

On January 10, 1970, she was married to Gary Don Ross in Dexter, Missouri.

Surviving are her husband, Gary Don Ross of Bloomfield; one son, Michael Ross of Bloomfield; two daughters, Laura Sorbie of Farmington, Missouri, Tina Mayabb of Bloomfield; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Bill Christman of Wappapello and Jim Christman of Hodgens, Oklahoma. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Gary G. Ross, and one sister, Linda McCollough.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter, Missouri
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 26 , 2013, at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri with Brandon Powell of Dexter, Missouri officiating.

Private interment services will be held at a later date at the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

Welton J. Wilson
Welton J. Wilson, son of the late Henry Jay and Henrietta (Wilson)  Wilson, was born in St. Louis, Missouri on January 31, 1920, and passed away at the Southeast Health Center of Stoddard County in Dexter on September 10, 2013, at the age of 93 years, 7 months and 10 days.

He had lived in St. Louis and Herman, Missouri before moving to Dexter in 2002. He was a member of the American Legion and had served in the Army Air Corp.

Surviving are many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon J. Wilson, Howard Wilson; and one sister, Madelyn G. Wrisberg.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 25, 2013, after 9:00 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors.

Interment will be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
