Dorlus L. Tucker

Dorlus L. Tucker, daughter of the late Carl Lawrence and Agnes McClard Lawrence, was born on January 25, 1935 at rural Pyletown, Missouri and departed this life on September 5, 2013 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 78 years.

Mrs. Tucker was a member of the Bridge Church of Christ at Pyletown, she worked as camp secretary for Modern Woodmen, volunteered at Stoddard County ARC and was a resident of Dexter.

On April 20, 1962, she was united in marriage to James Edward Tucker at Pyletown.  Mr. Tucker survives of their home.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, James Carl Tucker and wife Leslie of Dexter, Stephen Paul Tucker of Dexter and Richard Dale Tucker and wife Christi of Dexter; by two grandchildren, Kristi Burns and Jamie DeVeau; by two great-grandchildren, Lillian Madison Burns and Kaydence DeVeau; by two step-grandchildren, Amy and Debra; and by two step-great-grandchildren, Eric and Kira.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Alvin Dale Lawrence and by one sister, Carolyn Lawrence.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, September 9, 2013 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Curtis McClard, Jr. officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
