Jo Ann Hogan
Jo Ann Hogan, daughter of the late Joe and Verlon Meese Hogan, was born on June 30, 1938, and passed away at her home in Morehouse, Missouri on November 5, 2012, at the age of 74 years, 4 months and 6 days.

She had lived in the Morehouse area all her life. She was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are one daughter, Saundra Laminack of Morehouse, Missouri; one grandchild; three great grandchildren; one sister, Verline Greer Edwards of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Other family and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy and don Hogan and a great granddaughter, Terrin Adams.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012, after 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Morehouse, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Morehouse, Missouri with the Rev. Randy Conn of Morley, Missouri officiating.

Interment will be in the Essex Cemetery in Essex, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Ann M. Ginn, daughter of the late George A. and Lola I. Clark Tackett, was born in Pontotoc Co., Mississippi on May 24, 1932, and passed away at the Puxico Nursing Center in Puxico, Missouri on November 5, 2012, at the age of 80 years, 5 months and 12 days.

 

Ann had lived in Fisk, Wynne, Arkansas and Dexter before moving to the Puxico where she had lived the past few years. She had worked for Missouri Family Services as a center coordinator. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and loved to garden and read.

 

Surviving are four sons, John Ginn of Puxico, Malcolm Ginn of Dexter, Clayton Ginn of Osage Beach, Skye Ginn of Fisk; six daughters, Thressia Ann Sieben of Sacramento, California, Beth Limbaugh of Springfield, Tracey West of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Dixie Lacey of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Kay Cunningham of Fisk, and Dawn Ginn of Cape Girardeau; 19 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; one brother, Don Tackett of Yellville, Arkansas; and one sister Katherine Champion of Wynne, Arkansas. Many other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Joannie Carol Ginn; two sisters, Mabelene Ginn, Florene Hadley; and two brothers, Henry and Danny Tackett.

 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012, after 6:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.

 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 9, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with Rev. Wayne Dismuke of Nashville, Tennessee officiating.

 

Interment will be in Shain Memorial Cemetery in Fisk, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.

James Allen Lykins

James Allen Lykins, son of the late King David Lykins and Elsie Cheek Lykins, was born on September 30, 1944, in Exeter, California, and departed this life at his residence in Circle City, Missouri, on November 4, 2012, at the age of 68.

 

Mr. Lykins was employed by Tyson Foods, Inc. in Dexter. 

 

He is survived by three sons, James L. Lykins of Circle City, Missouri, Roy Lykins of Marked Tree, Arkansas, and Danny Lykins of Dexter, Missouri; by one brother, Roy Lykins of LaGrande, Oregon, by ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

 

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Lykins and LeRoy Lykins; and by two sisters, Nora Ames and Susie Lockridge.

 

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 8, 2012.  Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, November 8, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Tim Russell officiating.  Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery.

Betty L. Casey
Betty L. Casey, daughter of the late Malcolm Edward and Elva Christine Fortner Sills, was born near Bloomfield, Missouri on March 12, 1935, and passed away at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Missouri on November 2, 2012, at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 21 days.

She had grown up in Southeast Missouri, lived in St. Louis and then California for twenty years before returning to Dexter in 1976. She had worked at Arvin Automotive for thirty years a member of the Dexter Eagles Aerie and the U.A.W. Local. She had attended the Assembly of God Church in Dexter.

On April 7, 1964, she was married to Johnie Jefferson Casey in Inglewood, California. He preceded her in death on February 2, 1982
.
Surviving are one daughter and spouse, Christine & Calvin Sandlin of Dexter, Missouri; four grandchildren, Linda Kirkpatrick, Dylan, Aaron and Quentin Sandlin all of Dexter; two great grandchildren, Larissa Throckmorton and Colton Lane Grigery both of Dexter; one brother, Charles Marler of Hillsboro, Missouri; two special nephews, Rocky and Jimmy Fortner both of Spokane, Washington.

Other family and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two brothers, George Leroy Fortner and James Edward Fortner in infancy.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2012, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2012, at Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Phil Warren of Dexter, Missouri officiating.

Interment will be in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
