Clara Litzler, daughter of the late Thomas Parkinson and Bernice Johnson Parkinson, was born on October 13, 1926 at Essex,Missouri,  and departed this life in the Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview, Texas on June 15, 2012 at the age of 85.

Mrs. Litzler was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter, a home-maker, a resident of Longview, Texas formerly of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Leonard Leo Litzler on December 27, 1941 at Malden.  Mr. Litzler preceded her in death on September 2, 1988.

She is survived by one son, Bill Litzler of North Port, Florida;by two daughters, Linda Sneed of Ecru, Mississippi and Judy Barnes of Longview, Texas; by one brother, Mel Johnson of Birch Run, Florida; by ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Larry Ray Litzler, by one daughter, Ruth Middendoff; by three brothers, Arthur Parkinson, Charles Gus Parkinson and Leroy Parkinson; and by one sister, Ethel Young.

Friends may call from 5 until 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2012. at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Parish Prayers will be recited at 7 p..m.  Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter with Father David Dohogne officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
