Bobby Gene Dennis, son of the late Mable Fisher Dennis Seeker and Fred Bradford Dennis was born on April 6, 1933 at Williamsville, Missouri and departed this life in the Missouri Veteran’s Home at Cape Girardeau on June 11, 2012 at the age of 79.

Mr. Dennis was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield, a former welder/pipefitter with Little Rock Union Hall #155, a veteran of the United States Air Force, a member of the Poplar Bluff Masonic Lodge #209, Bloomfield Chapter Order of Eastern Star #385 and a resident of Bloomfield.

He was united in marriage to Pansy Rogers on April 23, 1976 at Malden.  Mrs. Dennis survives of the home in Bloomfield.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Richie Dennis of Poplar Bluff: by one daughter, Rhonda McGowen of Poplar Bluff: by one step-son, Dennis Rogers of Centralia, Illinois: by one step-daughter, Charlotte Haggard of Kansas City: by one sister: Connie Kesler, of Milltown, Indiana, and by six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Robbie Dennis.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2012.  Funeral services will then be conducted at 1 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Eskew officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield with Full Military Honors.
