Leading The FFA Way
The Dexter FFA Chapter recently selected new chapter officers for 2012-2013 school year. The election was held during officer interviews on Tuesday, April 10. A Dexter senior officer and a panel of former FFA officers interviewed the officer candidates. The candidates first had to fill out an application, which set down all the requirements for being an officer in the Dexter FFA chapter. Each candidate was interviewed separately by a panel that included Alex Neldon, this year's Dexter FFA President as well as Joe Pulliam, who is a surveyor for Smith and Company. Mallory Crow, who is employed with Delta Growers, and Matt Blevins an agriculture education student at Southeast Missouri State University. Next year's Dexter FFA officers will be (front row, from left) Brianna Madigan, Reporter; Chelsey Massey, President; Christin Sitzes, Vice-President: and (back row, from left) Colton Averett, Parliamentarian; Jackson Hubbard, Sentinel; and Derek Felker, Treasurer. Not present for the photo was Shelby Edwards, Treasurer. The new officers will be installed at the Dexter FFA Parent-Member banquet at 6:30 p.m., May 10 in the DHS cafeteria.
