Carolyn Burns
Carolyn Burns, daughter of the late Herman Woodall and Lilly Dubois Woodall was born on April 2, 1941 at Jackson County, Alabama and departed this life in the Golden Living Center at Bloomfield on July 7, 2011 at the age of 70.

Mrs. Burns was a home-maker and resident of Bloomfield.

She was united in marriage to Luther Burns Jr. on January 24, 1958 at Dexter. Mr. Burns preceded her in death on December 12, 2003.

Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-laws, Randy and Sheri Burns and Kenny and Mary Ellen Burns all of Bloomfield: by three grandchildren, Amy Graham, Ryan Burns and Kayla Burns: by six great-grandchildren, Austin Eskew, Adison Musgrave, Isaiah Graham, Gracie Burns, Rylee Burns and Veronica Burns: by two brothers, Gene Woodall of Matthews and Pete Woodall of the State of Alabama: by four sisters, Nina Reed of Jackson, Gail Gibson of Dexter, Nancy Cooper of Bloomfield and Cathy DeMeyer of St. Louis: by other relatives and friends.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Paula Kay Burns: by two sisters, Virginia Masters and Wanda Atchley.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5 until 8 p.m., Friday, July 8, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2011 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Buddy Heaton officiating. Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery.
