Leona Hunt, daughter of the late Len and Clara Casey Wilburn, was born in Lavalle, Missouri on July 18, 1922, and passed away at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri on June 26, 2011, at the age of 88 years, 11 months and 8 days.

Leona had lived in Lavalle and Parma, Missouri before moving to Dexter in 1975. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Dexter, Missouri.

On October 10, 1942, she was married to Jr. C. Hunt in Charleston, Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1988.

Surviving are two sons, Kenneth Tucker and Curtis Hunt both of Dexter, Missouri, nineteen grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren. Many other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two sons, Doyle and Wayne Hunt; three brothers and one sister.

Friends may visit on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, after 11 a.m., at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at 1 p.m., in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter, Missouri officiating.

Interment will be in the Malden Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
