Walter "Buck" Davis

Walter "Buck" Davis, son of the late Walter William and Wanda Lee louise Davis, was born in Sikeston, Missouri on January 6, 1951, and passed away at his home in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 24, 2011, at the age of 60 years, 5 months and 18 days.
Buck had lived in the Essex, Missouri area before moving to Indiana and was a retired plumber.
Surviving are four children and spouses, Amber Davis, Devon & April Davis, William "Billy" & Jennifer Davis, and Amy Davis; eight grandchildren, Terry Lee, Lance, Ashley, Gauge, Walter, Summer, Devon, Jr. and Isaiah Davis; one brother, David Davis; two sisters, Carol Sue Whitechurch and JoAnn Van Gilder. Many other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one sister, Phyllis Robinette and one nephew, Mark Mathis.
Friends may visit on Tuesday, June 28, 2011, from 1 until 3 p.m., at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at 3 p.m., in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Steve Tippen of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
Buck had lived in the Essex, Missouri area before moving to Indiana and was a retired plumber.

Dennis Ray Strauser

Dennis Strauser, son of Lendel and Sharon King Strauser of Bloomfield, Missouri was born on March 22, 1968 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on June 25, 2011 at the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 43 years.
Dennis was a lineman for SEMO Electric for many years, member of the First Assembly of God Church in Bloomfield, Missouri, and a resident of Bloomfield. He loved to be outdoors hunting, fish, and spending time with his family.
On November 21, 1987 he was united in marriage to Pam Burnett in Bernie, Missouri. Mrs. Strauser survives of the home in Bloomfield.
Besides his wife, Pam Burnett Strauser of Bloomfield, and his parents Lendel and Sharon Strauser of Bloomfield, other survivors include one son, Hunter Strauser of Bloomfield; by one daughter and son-in-law, Presley Strauser Davis and Tristan of Cabot, Arkansas; also by other relatives and many friends.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 2 until 4 p.m., Monday June 27, 2011. Funeral services will then be conducted on Monday at 4 p.m., June 27, 2011 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Dwight Hensley officiating. Interment will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.

Dalton Tyler Wasson

Born March 15, 1995 in Poplar Bluff to Jesse E. Wasson of Bernie and Monica J. Wasson of East Prairie, Dalton was a student at Bernie High School and a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Bernie.
Survivors other than his parents include: Two sisters, Mollie E. Wasson of East Prairie and Braiden N. Wasson of Bernie; one brother, Colton Wallace of Bernie; paternal grandparents, Larry & Carolyn Wasson of Bernie; maternal grandparents, Barry & Debbie Blumenberg of East Prairie and Mrs. Valerie Welshans of East Prairie; and a host of family and friends.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, Mo. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Shleby Chapel with Bro. Alfred Welshans and Bro. Tony Blumenberg officiating. Burial will follow at the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie with Shelby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. A candlelight vigil will be held at 9 p.m. Friday at the Bernie Park and will be open to the public.
Pallbearers will be Jessie Gibson, Zach Matheny, Zach Hunt, Scott Mainord, Jr., Steven Dominquez, Barry Blumenberg, Jr.

Pauline Brown, daughter of the late Audie and Geneva Alexander Davis, was born in Dekalb, Mississippi on October 7, 1921, and passed away at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on June 17, 2011, at the age of 89 years, 8 months and 10 days.
On April 15, 1946, she was married to Zeke Willie Brown. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1991.
Pauline had lived in the Essex, Missouri area most of her life. She had worked as a custodian for the Sikeston Public Schools before her retirement.
Surviving are five daughters, Teresa Tipler and Margarite Ward both of Sikeston, Missouri, Jimmie Gaston of St. Peters, Missouri, Katerine Kingsvery and Juanita Davis both of St. Louis, Missouri; three sons, Marshall Brown of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Melvin Brown of Atlanta, Georgia, Marvin Brown of Malden, Missouri; twenty grandchildren; many great grandchildren; two brothers, Elmer Davis of Chicago, Illinois, Norman Davis of Sikeston, Missouri; four sisters, Osie Oliver of Detroit, Michigan, Myneil Cain of Essex, Missouri, Elsie Bishop and Ethel Hollmon both of St. Louis, Missouri. Many other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by three brothers.
