Anna Mae Carey

Anna Carey, daughter of the late Joseph Lee and Beulah Walker Lee was born on December 7, 1917 in Chetopa, Kansas and departed this life at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri on June 7, 2011 at the age of 93 years.
Mrs. Carey was a former Clerk at P.N. Hirsch Department Store in Dexter, was of the Baptist faith, and a resident of Dexter.
On October 27, 1979 she was united in marriage to William “Bill” Carey in Aid, Missouri. Mr. Carey preceded her in death on September 15, 1999.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Lowell “Bud” Lewis and Barb of Sikeston, Missouri and Roy Lewis and Wanda of Advance, Missouri; by one daughter and son-in-law, Linda Keith Duke and Ray of Dexter; one sister, Mabel Nations of Park Hills, Missouri; also by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Shirley Lynn; five brothers, one sister; also by three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 9:30 until 11:30 a.m., Thursday June 9, 2011. Funeral services will then be conducted at 11:30 a., Thursday June 9, 2011 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Phil Warren officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Helen Lowrey

Helen Lowrey, daughter of the late W. E. Denton and Carrie Wybark Denton was born on July 23, 1918 in New Madrid County and departed this life in the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter on June 4, 2011 at the age of 92.
Mrs. Lowrey was of the Baptist faith, a home-maker and long-time resident of Parma.
She was united in marriage to Grady P. Lowrey on December 21, 1935 in New Madrid County. Mr. Lowrey preceded her in death on October 30, 1987.
She is survived by one son, Bob Lowrey and wife Betty of Dexter: by two daughters, Sally Louise Mollineaux of O’Fallon and Joyce Stewart and husband Travis of Parma: by nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Rita Ruth Cook: by one son-in-law, James Mollineaux: by three brothers, W. E. Denton, Walter Denton and Bill Denton: by one sister, Lucille Blair.

Ruby Pauline Skelton

Ruby Pauline Skelton, daughter of the late Andrew Alexander and Lucy May Green Matthews, was born near Dexter, Missouri on April 14, 1930, and passed away at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield, Missouri on June 4, 2011, at the age of 81 years, 1 month and 11 days.
Mrs. Skelton had lived in Bloomfield, Missouri all her life. She attended the Bloomfield Assembly of God Church. She had retired from Elder’s Manufacturing after 46 years and worked at McDonald’s for ten years.
On December 18, 1954, she was married to James Earl Skelton in Hernando, Mississippi. He preceded her in death on February 5, 2011.
Surviving are two sons, Larry Parker of Dexter, Missouri; Garry Parker of Bloomfield, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Chad, Jason, Heather and Matthew Parker, Jennifer Whatley, Casey Williams and Matt Banken; six great grandchildren; two nieces, Glenda Wilson and Carlene Barksdale; and one nephew, Roger Matthews. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman and Carl Matthews.
Friends may call on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, from 55-8 p.m.,at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday June 8, 2011, at 10 a.m., in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri with the Rev. Dwight Hensley of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

Reuben Johnson

Reuben Johnson, son of the late Henry Rosco and Lectie Leona Boyles Johnson, was born in Qulin, Missouri on June 12, 1931, and passed away at his home near Bloomfield, Missouri on June 2, 2011, at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 21 days. Mr. Johnson had lived in Bloomfield the past 41 years. He had worked at as a welder at Arvin Automotive until his retirement. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.
On December 22, 1962 he was married to Catherine Winchester in Alton, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Catherine Johnson of Bloomfield, Missouri; one son, Harold Winchester of Bloomfield, Missouri; two daughters, Barbara Johnson of Dexter, Missouri, Dee Davis Carr of Sebree, Kentucky; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and one sister, Mildred Kenpisty of Detroit, Michigan. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 6, 2011, at 11 a.m., in the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with the Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors conducted. Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

Linda McCollough, daughter of the late William Christman and Bonnie Parks Christman was born on December 13, 1954 at Dexter and departed this life in her residence at Dexter on June 3, 2011 at the age of 56.
Mrs. McCollough was united in marriage to Delvis McCollough on February 18, 1995 at Wappapello. Mr. McCollough preceded her in death on August 21, 1995.
She is survived by one son, Robert Stoker of Bloomfield: by two daughters, Paula Stoker and Jessica McCollough both of Dexter: by one step-son, Terrell McCollough of Poplar Bluff: by three step-daughters, Cambrea Halcomb and Renee Banthrall both of Poplar Bluff and Sarah McCollough of Conway, Arkansas: by two brothers, Jimmy Christman of Hogden, Oklahoma and Bill Christman of Wappapello: by one sister, Brenda Ross of Bloomfield: by five grandchildren.
