Helen Lowrey

Helen Lowrey, daughter of the late W. E. Denton and Carrie Wybark Denton was born on July 23, 1918 in New Madrid County and departed this life in the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter on June 4, 2011 at the age of 92.

Mrs. Lowrey was of the Baptist faith, a home-maker and long-time resident of Parma.

She was united in marriage to Grady P. Lowrey on December 21, 1935 in New Madrid County. Mr. Lowrey preceded her in death on October 30, 1987.

She is survived by one son, Bob Lowrey and wife Betty of Dexter: by two daughters, Sally Louise Mollineaux of O’Fallon and Joyce Stewart and husband Travis of Parma: by nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Rita Ruth Cook: by one son-in-law, James Mollineaux: by three brothers, W. E. Denton, Walter Denton and Bill Denton: by one sister, Lucille Blair.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 1 - 2 p.m., Monday, June 6, 2011. Funeral services will then be conducted at 2 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gene Lancaster officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
