Norman Lowes of Jackson died today, March 30, 2011, in Jackson.

Mr. Lowes is a former employee of Missouri Utilities and a former long-time resident of Dexter.

Linda Newell, daughter of the late Sam and Katherine May Frazier, was born in Gideon, Missouri on September 29, 1951, and passed away at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on March 30, 2011, at the age of 59 years, 6 months and 1 day.

She had lived in Dexter, Missouri most of her life. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Dexter, Missouri.

On September 18, 1981, she was married to David Newell in Sikeston, Missouri.

Surviving are her husband, David Newell of Dexter, Missouri; four sons, Jay Rodgers of Dexter, Missouri, Danny Rodgers of Imperial, Missouri, Glen Rodgers of Arnold, Missouri, Tim Newell of Morley, Missouri; two daughters, Glenda Martin of Republic, Missouri, Melissa March of Dexter, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three brothers, Kenneth "Junior" Henson of Chicago, Illinois, Ray Frazier of Dexter, Missouri, George Frazier of Bonne Terre, Missouri; two sisters, Margie Anthony of Dexter, Missouri and Margaret Gamblin of Malden, Missouri. Many other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one great grandson, and two sisters, Billie Jo McCullough and Mary Matthews.

Friends may visit on Sunday, April 3, 2011, after 12:30 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Danny Collins of Qulin, Missouri officiating.

Interment will be in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

Bobbie Mead, a resident a Dexter, Missouri formally of Bernie, Missouri passed away on March 30, 2011 in the Golden Living Center in Dexter at the age of 72 years.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced by the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie.

Mr. Gaylon Evans, 58, of Union City died March 25, 2011 at his home.

Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Eddie Mallonee will officiate. Burial followed in East View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Second Baptist Church Benevolence Fund, 831 Everett Blvd., Union City, Tennessee 38261.

Gaylon was born April 9, 1952, in Kennett, Missouri, son of the late Thomas W. and Wanda (Huskey) Evans. He grew up in Dexter, Missouri and was a 1970 graduate of Dexter High School. He attended Mid America Nazarene College in Olathe, Kansas.

Gaylon moved to Union City in 1977 and was a retired builder and contractor and had been employed by the former McAdoo Builders Supply.

Gaylon had served as a Little League baseball coach and a Little Twister basketball coach, both in Union City.

He is survived by his wife, Trudy (Terry) Evans, whom he married on May 15, 1973; two sons and daughters-in-law, Andrew and Nancy Evans of Summerville, South Carolina and Daniel and Elizabeth Evans of Hendersonville; his grandson, Coen Michael Evans of Hendersonville; his sister, Ann Evans Owens of Olathe, Kansas; his mother-in-law, Lucile Terry of Evans, Colorado; and his sister-in-law, Toni Hooten of Greeley, Colorado. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Danny Evans.

Donald Kitchen, son of the late William, and Laura Brown Kitchen was born in Morehouse, Missouri on September 23, 1940, and passed away at his home in Sikeston, Missouri on March 26, 2011, at the age of 70 years, 11 months and 2 days.

He had lived in Morehouse and Sikeston area the most of his life. He worked for Stewart Steel as a welder he was of the Pentecost faith.

On September 24, 1971 he was married to Edna Louise Sims in Dexter, Missouri.

Surviving are his wife Edna Kitchen of Sikeston, Missouri. One son, Douglas Kitchen of Kingman, Arizona; one daughter, Anna (Roy) Ward, of Sikeston Missouri; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty McNew of Bloomfield, Missouri and Diana Wilson of Sikeston; and one brother Herbert Kitchen, of Sikeston, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and a Great-Grandaughter.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 30, 2011, after 11 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at 1 p.m., at the Essex Cemetery in Essex, Missouri.

Interment will be in the Essex Cemetery in Essex, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
