THIS HEAT ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM SATURDAY TO 7 PM CDT SUNDAY. THE AREA COVERED BY THIS WARNING INCLUDES SOUTHEAST MISSOURI, SOUTHERN ILLINOIS, AND EXTREME WESTERN KENTUCKY FROM PADUCAH WEST.

* HEAT INDEX VALUES...PEAK HEAT INDICES WILL RANGE FROM 110 TO 115 DEGREES TODAY AND SATURDAY. ON SUNDAY, ANTICIPATED THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY SHOULD LIMIT HEAT INDICES TO BETWEEN 100 AND 110. IN ADDITION, OVERNIGHT LOWS WILL BE ONLY IN THE MID 70S.
* TEMPERATURE...ACTUAL HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE MID 90S TODAY AND SATURDAY, AND THE LOWER 90S SUNDAY.
* IMPACTS...THE COMBINATION OF HOT TEMPERATURES AND HIGH HUMIDITY WILL LEAD TO AN INCREASED RISK OF HEAT-RELATED ILLNESS.
