AT THIS TIME, THE HIGHEST HEAT INDEX READINGS THURSDAY ARE EXPECTED ALONG INTERSTATE 64 AND BETWEEN HARRISBURG AND CAIRO IN SOUTHERN ILLINOIS, THEN ACROSS THE DELTA REGION OF SOUTHEAST MISSOURI TOWARD THE MISSOURI BOOTHEEL.
