In Memory of Leroy Hoosier

Leroy Hoosier, son of the late Elmer Hoosier and Doris Miller Hoosier, was born on October 27, 1941 in Bell City, Missouri and passed away on Sunday February 19, 2017 at the Monticello House in Jackson, Missouri at the age of 75.

Mr. Hoosier was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp and had served in the Vietnam War.  He was a former employee of MEMC Electronic Materials in St. Peters, Missouri and was a resident of Bloomfield.

On November 14, 1986 he was united in marriage to Susy Williams in Bloomfield.  Mrs. Hoosier survives of the home in Bloomfield.

Survivors include two sons, Brian Wilcox and wife Kim of Advance, Missouri, Shannon Hoosier and wife Pam of Wentzville, Missouri ; by two daughters, Cindy Wilcox of Delta, Missouri and Patricia Matousek of St. Charles, Missouri; by one brother, James “Sonny” Hoosier of Ridge Farm, Illinois; by one sister, Wanda Daniel of Bell City, Missouri; by eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Hoosier and one sister, Linda Hatley.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday February 23, 2017 from 9:30 A. M. until 11:00 A. M.

Funeral services will then be conducted on Thursday February 23, 2017 at 11:00 A. M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter
with Rev. Eddie Miller officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veteran Cemetery in Bloomfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery Assistance League, 17357 Stars & Stripes Way, Bloomfield, Missouri  63825.
