In Memory of Tracy Lynn Brotherton

Tracy Lynn Brotherton, daughter of Charles Brotherton and Dorothy Miller Brotherton, was born on October 16, 1969, in Fredericktown, Missouri, and departed this life on March 27, 2024, at her residence in Wappapello, Missouri, at the age of 54 years.


Ms. Brotherton worked with her parents at Sundowner Marine in Wappapello and in the wintertime she was an actor. She was a member of the Lake Wappapello United Methodist Church and the Screen Actors Guild. Over the last few years, Tracy enjoyed golfing. She loved living at the lake and being able to help her parents at the marina. She was a great boater and water skier, and she loved plants and helping people.


She is survived by her parents, Charles and Dorothy Brotherton of Wappapello, Missouri; and by her brother, Charles Brotherton III of Wappapello, Missouri.


Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Craig Hamilton, Catherine Bryant and Harold Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Lake Wappapello Cemetery.


Memorials may be made to the Lake Wappapello United Methodist Church, PO Box 236, Wappapello, MO 63966

In Memory of Mary Lou Giddings

Mary Lou Giddings, daughter of the late Arthur Leroy Durham and Goldie Loveless Durham, was born on March 23, 1947, in Parma, Missouri, and departed this life on March 26, 2024, at her residence in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 77 years.


Mrs. Giddings had worked for Town and Country in Dexter, Missouri, and a Reverse Osmosis Filter Plant in Vista, California. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Dexter, Missouri.


On August 21, 1970, in Escondido, California, she was united in marriage to Roger Giddings. Mr. Giddings preceded her in death on December 7, 2017.


She is survived by three sons, Shawn Giddings of Escondido, California, York Giddings of Dexter, Missouri, and Gerald Giddings of Kerrville, Texas; by her daughter, Diana Eckhardt and husband Wayne of Illinois; by her brother, Kenneth Durham and wife Sharon of Bernie, Missouri; and by two sisters, Beatrice Baldwin of Fenton, Missouri, Mildred Adams and husband Paul of McKinney, Texas.


Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Durham and Leslie Durham; and by her sister, Jenny Parmley.


No services are planned.

In Memory of Vaden Shane Woolard

Vaden Shane Woolard, son of Vaden Woolard and Leta Counts Woolard of Mill Springs, Missouri, was born on July 2, 1982, in Ellington, Missouri, and departed this life on March 25, 2024, near Puxico, Missouri at the age of 41 years.


Mr. Woolard was self-employed in the construction and roofing business with his brother. He was a member of Victory Baptist Temple in Piedmont, Missouri and was a resident of Puxico, Missouri. He enjoyed working on the family farm. He was always the jokester in the crowd wanting everyone to smile.


On June 14, 2020, he was united in marriage to Michelle McCormick Woolard. Mrs. Woolard survives of their home in Puxico.


Along with his wife and parents, he is survived by his brother, Dake Woolard of Harviell, Missouri; and by his sister, Karis Vance and husband Daecus of Robertsville, Missouri; and by a host of family and friends.


Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, March 29, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, March 29, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Scott Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Sadler Chapel Cemetery in Dexter.

In Memory of Teresa Ann Worth-Throckmorton

Teresa Ann Worth-Throckmorton, daughter of the late Rev. W. H. Worth and Ilene Smith Worth, was born on July 21, 1957, in Sikeston, Missouri and departed this life on March 23, 2024, at her residence in Dexter, Missouri.


Mrs. Throckmorton had worked as a developmental assistant with Semo Residential Services in Sikeston, Missouri. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Sikeston and was on the Stoddard County Fair Board. She enjoyed playing cards, spending time with her grandchildren and attending church.


She was united in marriage to William Throckmorton, who preceded her in death in 2020.


She is survived by one son, Shawn Goodman of Dexter, Missouri; three daughters, Heather Annesser ( Eric) of Dexter, Missouri, Latisha Ivy ( Rex) of Dexter, Missouri, and Susan Throckmorton (Terry) of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; two sisters, Pamela June Dowdy of Dexter, Missouri and Nicole Worth of Dexter, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren, Braxton Britton, James Gage Britton, Mayson Casey, Kailey Goodman, Lydia Goodman McDonnold, Blaine Goodman, Luke Pfefferkorn, Myles Pfefferkorn, Shae Tidwell, Maranda Cato, Landon Annesser, Kendrajane Throckmorton and Kiersten Moore; twelve great-grandchildren, Legend Britton, Taylor Britton, Maverick Britton, Zamora Gross, Zailey McDonnold, Zayden McDonnold, Zaxton McDonnold, Prestyn Tidwell, Kaylar Tidwell, Jayce Tidwell, Colt Smith and Ryker Smith.


Other than her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one brother, Harold Worth, Jr.


Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday March 25, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. A memorial service will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Monday March 25, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Ward officiating. Internment will follow in the Essex Cemetery in Essex, Missouri.

In Memory of Stanley Teets

Stanley Teets, son of the late Harding Teets and Veda DeJournett Teets, was born on October 17, 1950, in Bloomfield, Missouri, and departed this life on March 21, 2024, at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 73 years.


Mr. Teets had worked for the International Hat Factory and IXL in Bernie, Missouri. He enjoyed woodworking, working on lawn mowers, bowling, and shooting pool. He loved singing music and playing the saxophone and harmonica.


On November 14, 1988, in Dexter, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Wilma Teel. Mrs. Teets preceded him in death on March 27, 2016.


He is survived by his son, Michael Teets (Collin Folsom) of Conway, Arkansas; by two daughters, Jenny Carr (Wesley) of Dexter, Missouri, and Amy Eldridge of Leopold, Missouri; by six brothers and sisters, Eldon D. Teets of Mt Clemens, Michigan, Brenda S. Schatz (Bill) of Advance, Missouri; Dennis R. Teets (Shirley) of Puxico, Missouri, Zelma A. McTurnan of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Gwendolyn L. Shirrell (Steve) of Advance, Missouri, and Randy G. Teets (Teresa) of Jackson, Missouri; by seven grandchildren, Trinity Johnston, Mya Eldridge, Jonathan Eldridge, Zoe Eldridge, Eben Carr, Ellis Carr, and Chris Carr; and by five great grandchildren, Lennox, Harrison, Hayden, Henry, and Troy. He is also survived by five step children, Carl Duty Jr., Michael Duty, Timothy Duty, Keith Allen Phillips, and Pamela Cobb, and numerous step grandchildren.


Other than by his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Karen D. Williams.


Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bloomfield.
