Turn Clocks Back One Hour on Saturday Night!

It’s about to get dark outside a whole lot earlier in the day. The annual time-change will happen this Sunday morning at 2 a.m.  It's best to set your clocks back one hour before retiring to bed on Saturday.  It's also a great time to check the batteries in your smoke detectors/alarms and carbon monoxide (CO) detectors.

Daylight savings time is set to come to an end and yes it is going to get dark earlier each night!  Sunday the sun will rise around 6:30 a.m. and the sun will set before 5 p.m.

On Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 2 a.m., clocks will turn back to 1 a.m.  Time to FALL BACK and gain an hour of sleep!

Daylight savings time will go into effect again on Mar. 8th, 2020 when we SPRING forward!

Family of Ricky Brown Seek Volunteers to Help Search on November 16th

Malden, Missouri - On Saturday, November 16th beginning at 8 a.m. family and friends of Ricky Brown will meet at the First General Baptist Church in Malden.

That is the location of their command center for all volunteers wishing to help look for Ricky.

They will have food, drinks, and a warm place for everyone throughout the day.

"I have a list started for food and volunteer donations," stated family member Lori O'Dell.  "Please contact any family member for information or to sign up. Your help is so very appreciated."

Ricky Brown was last seen on June 27, 2019 in Malden around 5:30 p.m.  He was wearing jeans, a t-shirt, a blue/red/yellow/green checked flannel shirt, and black tennis shoes.

Southern Bank in Essex Robbed

Stoddard County Sheriff Carl Hefner reports on 10-21-2019, at approximately 1204 hours, a male suspect entered Southern Bank of Essex, MO, located at 101 Trotter St and robbed the bank.

After obtaining an unknown amount of cash from the bank teller, the suspect exited the bank and entered an older model four door sedan, possibly an Impala or Buick LaSabre with faded headlight lenses and left traveling toward Dexter, MO.

According to witness', the suspect who robbed the bank was described as a black male, approximately 5"10 - 6"00 tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a Red sock cap with a grey beard and goatee.

Stoddard County Sheriff Office, Dexter Police Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, FBI and also members of the Stoddard County Major Case Squad responded to assist with investigation.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. If you have any information pertained to this case, please call the Stoddard County Sheriffs Office at 573-568-4654, or your local law enforcement agency.
