In Memory of Tyler Wayne George

Tyler Wayne George, 26, of Dexter, Missouri passed away on February 16, 2018 at his residence in Dexter. He was born on September 7, 1991, to his parents, Robert George and Lisa Pleasant George in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
He attended Dexter School until his graduation in 2010. While he was attending school, he participated in soccer, football, basketball, and he excelled at his favorite sport, baseball. He played for the Dexter Bearcat’s while in Junior High and High School, proudly wearing #6 and also was a fan of Alabama Crimson Tide football and St. Louis Cardinal’s baseball.
After graduation he attended Three Rivers, earning his Associates of Arts Degree and completed his EMT Certification. He worked in Construction in the Southeast Missouri and Northeast Arkansas area.
Tyler was an avid outdoorsman. He was an expert shot with his bow and arrow and enjoyed hunting with his family. He loved going to his grandparent’s cabin in Van Buren, Mo. Deer hunting and fishing were his favorite hobbies and excelled in them both.
He was a fun-loving young man with a wonderful sense of humor. He was full of energy and loved spending time with his family. Always having a hug and saying the words “I Love You” and had the biggest smile and was one of the first to volunteer to help.
Survivors include: his parents, Robert George of Dexter and Lisa Pleasant and Jeremy Luttrell of Gibraltar, Michigan; one daughter, Hazel Makanaokeakua “God’s Gift” Baker from Puxico, Missouri; one brother, Mason George of Dexter, Missouri; one sister, Halley Sielert of Dexter, Missouri; by grandparents Bobby and Sherry George of Wappapello, Missouri and Jeanette Pleasant of St. Francis, Arkansas; by great-grandmother, Helen McCrillis of St. Francis, Arkansas; by aunts and uncles, Donnie and Teresa Conner, Karen George, Jerry and Cindy Pleasant, Edward and Elizabeth Wofford, and Tommy and Jennifer Lewis; by cousins, Cliff George, “his cousin like a brother” and wife Roxanne; by “nephew” Lincoln.
Preceding him in death: grandpa, Dale Pleasant; great-grandparents, Charles McCrillis, William and Mattie Pleasant.
Pallbearers include: Cliff George; special friends, Landon Watson, Brent Stidham, Tommy Lewis, Edward Stevens, Seth Wofford and Zack Hedrick.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter.
Interment will follow at the Hagy Cemetery.

In Memory of Peggy Caldwell

Peggy Caldwell daughter of the late Pernie “Earline” Moore was born on March 10, 1947 in Stoddard County, Missouri and departed her life on February 16, 2018 at the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 70 years.
Mrs. Caldwell was a Customer Service Manager at Dexter Wal-Mart for many years and a resident of Bloomfield, Missouri.
Survives include two daughters, Tammy Caldwell of Bloomfield, Missouri and Sherry Lee Clifton (Daniel) of Dexter, by one brother, Jerry Moore of Bloomfield; by three grandchildren, Tiffany Fuchs, Nathalie Fuchs, and Shyann Clifton; and by two great-grandchildren, Gabby Phillips and Bentley Rankin; also, by other relatives and many close friends.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 12:30 until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 21, 2018.
Funeral services will then be conducted on Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with Rev. Bill Pennington officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.

In Memory of Brandy Nicole Pickett

Brandy Nicole Pickett, daughter of Randy Pickett and Barbara Jean Price Bulington, was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on August 31, 1987 and departed this life in her home in Bernie, Missouri on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the age of 30.
Brandy was Department Manager at Town & Country Supermarket in Bernie and was a homemaker.
Survivors include, her father, Randy Pickett of Bernie, Missouri; by her mother, Barbara Bulington of Collinwood, Tennessee; three daughters, Faith Alexandria Scott, Gabriela Maria Scott and Emma Maybell Scott all of the home in Bernie, Missouri; by three sisters, Jasmine Owens of Bernie, Missouri, Julia Dickson of WellSprings, Tennessee and Lauren Pickett of Piggott, Arkansas; also by other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother in infancy, Joseph Pickett; also by her grandmother, Shirley Pickett who was like a Mother to them.
Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri, February 19, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Funeral services will then be conducted at 11:00 A.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Steve Fitzpatrick officiating. Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery. Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.

In Memory of Evelyn Irene Jones

Evelyn Irene (Mansbridge) Jones, Age 94 of Poplar Bluff, formerly of Puxico, MO passed away Tuesday, February 13th, 2018 at Oakdale Assisted Living in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Daughter of the late Fred Hinton Mansbridge and Cora Cecilia (Untiedt) Mansbridge. She was born on October 23rd, 1923 in Fisk, Mo.
On January 26, 1946 she was marries to Harold E. Jones in Poplar Bluff. He preceded her in death on October 20th, 2011. They lived in Nebraska and Iowa and returned to Puxico, MO area in 1963. They lived there until moving to Poplar Bluff in 2011. They were members of the United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and loved cooking and taking care of her family. She loved gardening, bird watching, crocheting and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters Sandra Kay Deprew of Malden, MO, Carolyn and Bob Fisher of Poplar Bluff, MO; one son, John and Pat Biltof of Mountain Home, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Jeremy Asher of Malden, Will and Jill Asher of Bernie, Aaron and Chris Asher of Bernie, Jessica and Joel Murphy of Poplar Bluff, and Bobbie Jo and Heath Lance of Omaha, Nebraska; fourteen great grandchildren, Erika, Kynlee, Chad, Logan, Mason, Nolan, Austin, Mackenzie, Natalie, Reese, Weston, Gavin, Brooklyn and Grayson.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Kay Jones and siblings Herbert and Flora Lee Mansbridge, Margaret and Bob Pleis, Ruth and Cleo Leach, Gail and Anna Lea Mansbridge.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 18th at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, MO from 6 to 8 p.m., Family at 5 p.m.. Funeral services will be Monday, February 19th at 10 am in the Funeral Home with burial at the Puxico Cemetery with Bishop Kent Miller officiating.

In Memory of Adam Eddie Newell, Sr.

Adam “Eddie” Newell, Sr. of Bloomfield, son of the late Adam Lee and Bertha Nancy Jaco Newell, was born near Jackson, Missouri on October 8, 1955, passed away at his home near Bloomfield on February 13, 2018, at the age of 62 years, 4 months and 5 days.
Eddie had lived in the Bloomfield area most of his life. He had worked as a truck driver for 35 years and was of the Pentacostal faith. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and loved being a truck driver.
On June 18, 1994, he was married to Wanda Jane Whipple in Leora, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Wanda Jane Newell of Bloomfield; four sons & spouses, John & Angie Newell of Bloomfield, Joeye & Una Newell of LaClede, Illinois, Adam & Chelsie Newell of Bloomfield, Terry Thomas of Bloomfield; four daughters & spouses, Tina & Darren Rodgers of Scott City, Amanda & Andy Chism of Bloomfield, Niomie & Kieth Zoellner of Friedheim, Breanna & Finney Eddington of Texarkana, Arkansas; nineteen grandchildren, Nathan, Joeye, Jr., Lonnie, Kamyron, Maybree, Clayton, Kayson, Trinydee, Tiylee, Olliver, Tiffany, Ricky, Louis, Chelsey, Andy, Bella, Macey, Tate, Kylie; one brother & wife, Ronald “Dale” & Donna Newell of Bloomfield. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Lee Newell, and father-in-law Abie Whipple.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 after 10:00 a.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield until time of service at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Poe of Jackson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.
