Bootheel Counseling Services 16th Annual 4-Person Scramble

Dexter, Missouri - The Bootheel Counseling Services 16th 4-Person Scramble is slated for Friday, August 25, 2017 at the Hidden Trails Country Club in Dexter.  Tee-Off is 1:00 p.m. and final registration is up to a half-hour prior to tee-off.

Format is a 3-person best ball scramble with flights, prizes and places determined by the number of entrants.

Cost is $65 per person and the entry fee includes beverages on the course and a meal after the tournament as well as several door prizes donated by area businesses and of course great t-shirts for all.

Hole-in-One prize on all Par Threes, including a 2017 Buick Encore donated by Allen Christian Buick, GMC of Dexter.

Bootheel Counseling Services is a not-for-profit community mental health center serving the counties of Scott, Stoddard, New Madrid, and Mississippi.  They have been providing professional mental health care to these counties since 1976.

Dexter Police Department Honored at Back the Blue Event
Dexter, Missouri - The annual Back the Blue event started by Sue Edwards was held at the Hickory Log at noon on Friday, August 4, 2017.

August 4th has been designated as Back the Blue Day in Dexter.  A proclamation was signed in 2016 by Mayor Joe Weber and it is to be recognized annually.

Sue Edwards presented certificates of appreciation to each officer in attendance and those officers not able to join them for lunch will receive gift certificates for a meal at Hickory Log.

"It's not a lot I can give, but I want them to know just how much they are appreciated in our community," stated Edwards.  

Senator Doug Libla was also on hand.  He gave thanks to the men and women who serve and spoke to the group about legislation he sponsored for police officers.

National Guard Represented at Back the Blue Event
