Dexter, Missouri – The Miss Dexter Pageant has been an annual tradition for more than 70 years. Contestants made their way through the halls of Dexter High School and onto the stage for an evening of glitz and glamor!
Each year the Dexter High School Choral Department sponsors the pageant to raise extra money. Attendants will also be chosen as Calendar Girls throughout the year and spotlighted each month on the ShowMe Times.
Miss Alexis May was crowned as the 2014 Miss Dexter. First Runner up was Miss Caroline Powers and 2nd runner up was Miss Mary Kate Miller.

White – 15 Gallon
Yellow – 39 Gallon
Breast Cancer Pink – 39 Gallon
Blue – 55 Gallon
Each roll is only $10 and deliveries will be made in early October.
Who can resist these awesome students raising money for a good cause!
Shown in the photo are: Adaline Prance, Isabella Pittman, and Kate Nichols. These girls look like beautiful little princesses caring their pretty trash bags! Who wouldn't want colorful trashbags to make your trash look a little more attractive. Besides October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and everyone needs to PINK OUT!
All proceeds got to fund students at Southwest, Central, and T.S. Hill Middle School. Please help them make this the best year ever!

The fun run/ walk is being hosted by Dexter Project Prom and sponsored by First National Bank. All monies raised will benefit Project Prom 2015.
Dana Adams from First National Bank tells the Show Me Times, “Last year, we had just over 200 participants. We are hoping for more this year.”
For those unfamiliar with a Color Burst Run, this is a 5k run/walk with stations set up throughout the race where participants are showered with colored powder. At the end of the run, the participants will be multicolored and smiling. It is a really fun event.
