Bailee Hux from Richland High School received the Shelter Insurance Scholarship.
Brock Williams and Matthew Mitchell, Shelter Insurance Agents, presented her with a $1500 certificate.
She was selected by a committee of local area residents based on her scholastic achievement and community involvement.
Dexter, MO - The Dexter High School honored the graduating Class of 2022 at the Bearcat Event Center on Friday, May 20th. Bailey Whitaker was named Valedictorian and Rachel Lin was named Salutatorian.
Rachel Lin is the daughter of Min Lin.
She is the Student Body President, Future Business Leaders of America President, Sr. Beta Club Secretary, Class Representative of HOSA, National honor Society Treasurer, FCCLA Historian, a member of the Pep Club, Art Club, the varsity football cheer squad, the varsity basketball cheer squad and the varsity track & field team.
Her future plans are to attend the University of Missouri - Columbia and major in health professions. She plans to pursue a career in the medical field.
Bailey Whitaker is the daughter of Cecil and Cindy Whitaker.
She has been involved in the Pep Club, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, Sr. Beta Club, Future Business Leaders of America, Student Council HOSA, National Society of High School Scholars, and National Honor Society.
Her future plans are to attend Arkansas State University - Jonesboro and major in Biology. She plans to become a Physician's Assistant (PA).
Bloomfield, MO - The Bloomfield Elementary School Kindergarten Graduation program was held on Monday, May 16th. The kindergarten Class of 2022 will graduate high school in the year of 2034.
Students entered the gym one at a time in a procession then sang three songs on stage, " Spread a Little Sunshine, You Are the Best, and Here Comes First Grade."
Each student then went to the microphone and stated, "When I grow up I want to be ......." before getting their diploma. Many students wanted to be firemen, policemen, spies, ballerinas, teachers, nurses, etc.
School board members handed out the diplomas then they sang the finale, "Moving On". Mrs Skaggs did the welcome and the closure.

The Class of 2034 is now headed to first grade in the fall.
Bernie, MO - Bernie High School held their graduation on Saturday, May 14, 2022.
John Nimmo was named the Salutatorian for the Bernie High School Class of 2022.
He is a very accomplished young man. He has been involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, FCCLA, Future Business Leaders of America, Future Farmers of America, Sr. Beta Club, Student Council, Basketball, Baseball and Cross Country.
During his athletic playing career, he has been on the All County and All District Basketball and Baseball Teams and was the "big Man in the middle" on this year's basketball team that finished 2nd in the State in Class 2.
He was also the Missouri State Junior Beta Club Chaplain from 2017-2018 and the Missouri State Senior Beta Club Secretary for the 2021-2022 school year.
In addition, he was chosen Student of the Year by the faculty and also was awarded the President's Award for Academic Excellence.
He is a member of Northside Baptist Church in Bernie.
Anna Eaton was named Valedictorian for the Class of 2022
She is a highly distinguished young lady and has been involved in Sr. Beta Club, FCCLA, Student Council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Pep Club, Yearbook, Future Business Leaders of America, Scholar Bowl, Softball and Volleyball.
During her athletic playing career, she has been a four-time Volleyball Academic All State, Softball Academic All State for four years, was a member of the All County Teams in both volleyball and softball as well as being a member of All District teams for volleyball and softball.
She recently received the Air Force Math and Science Awards, the President's Award for Academic Excellence, and was a finalist for Student of the Year here at Bernie HIgh School.
