Dexter High School Annual Mac & Cheese Drive to Feed the Hungry
The Dexter High School students and teachers had a contest to see which group could donate more Macaroni and Cheese to the Stoddard County Gospel Mission Food Bank.  The teachers won with 1105 boxes and the students had 750.  

The following FBLA members of the Macaroni & Cheese committee helped load the 1,855 boxes when the drive concluded on Monday, November 25.

DHS Students Bring Home Awards at Missouri State Sr. Beta Convention

Dexter, Missouri - Dexter HIgh School students returned from the Missouri State Sr. Beta Convention with several awards.  Students who qualified to compete at the national level will attend Fort Worth, Texas in June 2020.

Those students are: MaKayla Annesser, 5th Place in Division 2 Onsite Drawing; Jillian Avery, 3rd Place in Division 2 Mixed Media, 2nd Place in Division 2 Painting, 1st Place in Division 2 Onsite Painting; Victoria Bess, 4th Place in 12th Grade Language Arts; Addy Green, 1st Place in Division 2 Drawing; Evan Grobe, 4th Place in 11th Grade Social Studies; Nevaeh Johnson, 2nd Place in 11th Grade Spanish; Rachel Lin, 2nd Place in Division 1 Drawing; Audrey Lutmer, 1st Place in Division 2 Speech; Layne Medler, 1st Place in 11th Grade Language Arts; Annie Slaton, Madison Slaton, Grace Milam, Audrey Lutmer and Blair Rogers, 5th Place in Marketing and Communications; Chloe McRoy and Makenzie Hutson, 3rd Place in Apparel Design; Ryder Boles, Justin Viers and Andrew Ellinghouse, 5th Place in Engineering; Mattilyn Williams, Abby Dement and Gerica Harris, 5th Place in Solo/Duo/Trio; Show Choir 2nd place, member are: Abby Dement, Addy Atherton, Andie Kruse, Annie Banken, Ayden Walters, Berkley Moreland, Delaney Lemmon, Dylan Sitze, Gerica Harris, Jeb Hubbard, Justin Viers, Kyla Propst, Logan Wyman, Madison Slaton, Magi McBride, Mattilyn Williams, Mia Williams, Natalie Bolin, Natalie Sells and Sarah Dachs.

Bernie School Board Meeting Minutes for Monday, December 9, 2019

Bernie, Missouri - The Bernie School Board met in regular session on Monday, December 9, 2019.  Below are the meeting minutes submitted to the ShowMe Times for publication.

Filing dates were announced for election to the Board of Education.  Those dates are December 17th at 8:00 AM through January 21st at 5:00 PM. 

Positions up for re-election this year are Rick Beaird, Denny Riddle and Richard Owens.

The Board announced the opening for nominations to the Hall of Fame. 

Nominations will be accepted through the end of December and will be reviewed at the January Board Meeting.

The Board reviewed & approved the 2018/19 Financial Audit and approved paying the bills and replenishing petty cash.

During executive session, the administration presented a mid-year staff review and Mr. Hicks presented his goals to the Board.

The Board accepted the resignation from Amber Eaton, Elementary Para Professional.
