Bernie, Missouri - Bernie Elementary will celebrate Red Ribbon Week, October 28th - November 1st.

Monday, October 28th Wear Camo and Hats Day - Don't Hide. Send a Drug Free Message!

Tuesday, October 29th Dress Up as Any Book, TV, or Movie Character of Your Choice Day - Have the CHARACTER to Send a Drug Free Message!

Wednesday, October 30th - Find a Buddy and Dress Like Twins Day - TOGETHER We Can Send a Drug Free Message!

Thursday, October 31st - Wear School Colors Day - MULES Send a Drug Free Message!

Friday, November 1st - Wear a Costume of Your Choice (No Weapons, Masks, or Props) - SEND Drugs a SCARY Message!

Greaser of the Week Featuring Blake Carrillo

Dexter, Missouri - School is back in session and DHS Choir students are already preparing for their upcoming musical "Grease".   Jamie Sepulvado and her crew are featuring a "Greaser of the Week!" so you can get to know DHS performers!!

Performances will be Wednesday, November 20th through Saturday, November 23rd!  We'll let you know when tickets go on sale etc, but until then get to know your castmates and prepare for a spectacular show!!

Greaser of the Week: Blake Carrillo

Blake is a junior, and he will performing with both casts in the role of Vince Fontaine.

Blake enjoys public speaking, and he decided to give the musical a try this year because he was asked to try out.

This will be his first DHS musical.

DHS Marching Bearcats Perform Well at SEMOBDA Competition

Sikeston, Missouri - The Dexter High School marching band competed in the SEMOBDA Marching Band Competition in Sikeston on Saturday, October 12, 2019 and brought home several awards.  The DHS Marching Band is under the direction of Scott Rybolt.

Dexter competed in the Green Class for 3A music schools.

Parade Awards:

Outstanding Field Command

Outstanding Music

Outstanding Marching

Outstanding Auxiliary (Colorguard).

1st place in class for parade with the top score out of all the parade bands in the morning

Field Awards (halftime show): 2nd place in class.

Greaser of the Week Featuring Abby DeMent

Greaser of the Week: Abby DeMent

Abby is a sophomore at DHS, and she will be performing as Jan with the Black Cast on Thursday and Saturday nights.

Abby loves bringing characters to life on the stage, and she would love to pursue the performing arts after high school.

She has previously performed in the DHS productions of The Sound of Music, The Wizard of Oz, and Beauty and the Beast.

Bloomfield Schools to Celebrate Red Ribbon Week

Bloomfield, Missouri - Bloomfield Schools will celebrate Red Ribbon Week October 28th - November 1st.

There will be a school-wide parade at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 31st.  The parade route will begin at the high school gym, go up Seneca Street, turn right on Salem Street, turn right on Center Street, and continue back to school.  Parents and friends are invited to watch the fun!

Monday - BE KIND - Be all about high-fives and hugs, not drugs.  Wear Purple or Red!

Tuesday - BE BRAVE - Dare to be a hero and live drug free.  Wear superhero attire or positive sayings/quotes.

Wednesday - BE SMART - Be too smart to start!  Dress like a nerd or a teacher.

Thursday - BE BOLD - Be crazy about being drug free. Wear bold colors or your Halloween costume for the parade.

Friday - BE YOU - Be all you can be.  Wear camo or patriotic attire.
