Southwest Elementary Kick Off Trash Bag Fundraiser This Week
Dexter, Missouri - Students at Southwest Elementary School in Dexter kicked off the annual FUNdraiser campaign selling trash bags this week.

Due to a printing error by the printing company, forms were not sent home on Friday, September 1, 2017; however as soon as the forms are available they will be sent home. Also since the fundraiser did not start on time, they will get a few extra days to sell the trash bags as well.  Orders must be placed by Tuesday, September 19, 2017.  Money must be collected when the order is taken and checks can be made payable to Southwest PTO.

The sale of trash bags is through the district’s PTO organization and has proved to be a very profitable source of funds for students.  Trash bags can be purchased in a 16, 25, and 65 bag roll and assorted colors.

All profits from the trash bag sales will be divided among Southwest, Central, and the T.S. Hill Middle School.  The three schools alternate each year as to which school is responsible for that year’s FUNdraising!  The proceeds will help fund school activities, field trips, teacher supplies and more.

The bags will be delivered to Southwest Elementary and be available for pick-up on Monday, October 2nd, and Tuesday, October 3rd. Remember parents that the cases of trash bags weigh about 50 lbs. so when picking them up for distribution as they are too heavy to send home with your children.

The cost for each roll is $10 regardless of the size and color.

They are quality trash bags that are twice as thick as the top selling brand of trash bags.  The bags are available in four colors.

The YELLOW bags are 39 gallon capacity and are 25 bags to a roll for $10.

The PINK bags are 39 gallon capacity and are 25 bags to a roll.  They are sold in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

The WHITE bags are sold on a roll of 65 bags and are the kitchen sized 15 gallon capacity.

The BLUE bags are super sized 55 gallon capacity and are 16 bags to a roll.

To order bags or for additional information, contact a Central Elementary student or call (573) 614-1015 contact PTO President Marissa Mills at marissamills@gmailc.om

Top sellers in each grade will receive the following:  $30.00 gift card for 1st place, $20 gift card for 2nd place, and $10.00 gift card for 3rd place.  the Top Two from each class will also get to "silly string" the principal!!!  The overall top seller will receive an additional price and the top selling classroom from each grade will also receive a special treat!

Shown in the photo representing Southwest Elementary School are from left to right: Olyvia Ervin, Drake Carmode, and Sidney Booker.  All three students are in second grade.
