
Dexter, Missouri - The fourth candidate this evening was Miss Rhylan Hillis.
Rhylan is a sophomore and is the daughter of Darren and Tory Hillis.
She is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Student Council. She is also on the Basketball and Football Cheerleading Squads, Varsity Track and Field, JV Volleyball, and has been named to the 2014 Stoddard County All-County Cheerleading Team and the NCA All-American Cheerleading Team.
In the future, Rhylan plans to attend and cheer at the University of Missouri where she will major in journalism. She plans to later use that degree to earn her a position on ESPN as an on the field commentator.
Rhylan was nominated by the Football Cheerleading Squad.
Escorting Miss Hillis tonight is Spencer Owens. Spencer is the son of Tracy Owens and Rany Huber. He is a member of the Honor Choir, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and is on the Varsity football and baseball teams.

Dexter, Missouri - The second candidate of the evening was Miss Brittany Brown.
Brittney is a senior at Dexter High School and is the daughter of Johnny and Regina Brown.
She is active in Future Teachers of America, Student Council, and Future Farmers of America. She is also on the Varsity Volleyball and Softball teams.
In the future Brittany plans to attend Crowley’s Ridge College to study nursing.
Brittany was nominated by the volleyball team.
Brittney’s escort this evening was Ethan Stevens.
Ethan is a senior and is the son of Nathan and Maria Stevens. He is active in Fellowship of Christian Athletes and a member of the Varsity Football, Wrestling, and Golf teams.

Dexter, Missouri - The first candidate for Homecoming Queen was Miss Kendall Adams.
She is the daughter of Dana and Travis Adams.
Kendall is a senior and is active in Future Business Leaders of America, Future Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), Student Council, and Future Teachers of America (FTA).
She is also a team captain for Fellowship of Christian Athletes and is on the Varsity Volleyball team.
Her future plans are to attend the University of Mississippi.
Kendall was nominated by the volleyball team.
Kendall’s escort tonight is Jake Adams. Jake is a junior and is the son of Tim and Candee Adams. He is on the Varsity football team.

A four-year letterman, Francisco has a career record of 79 completions and 1,489 yards with 137 attempts. The Poplar Bluff High School senior has 50 rushes for 273 yards, three touchdowns and five interceptions. In addition, he has thrown 19 touchdowns. According to head coach Mark Barousse, Francisco has a high IQ on the football field, with a 10.0 grade point average to boot.
Hobbs, also a senior, has a 10-5 record in singles and 5-10 in doubles for the current season, while maintaining a 10.738 GPA in the classroom. According to her coach, Charles Harper, Hobbs is a role model for new and younger teammates, with a character that is above reproach.
“In a sport with no officials, she always makes honest calls, even if it means losing,” Harper said. “(Hobbs is) kind and polite in her interactions, even in adverse circumstances.”

Rebecca is the daughter of Darrell and Emily Heuring.
Peyton is the son of Daniel and Deana Maddox.
Rebecca and Peyton are competing with honorees from other county schools for the Dexter Elks Students of the Year. Both students, along with their parents, and counselor, Jessica Cloniger, will be honored at a banquet to be held at the Dexter Elks Lodge in the spring of 2016. The Elks Students of the Year will be announced at the spring banquet.
