They are the Elks Lodge December Students of the Month!
Lari is the daughter of Kevin and Lisa Spitzer. Caleb is the son of Allan and Tommie Ellenburg.
Lari and Caleb are competing with honorees from the other county schools for the Dexter Elks Students of the Year. Both students, along with their parents and counselor, Mindy Jackson, will be honored with a banquet to be held at the Dexter Elks Lodge later next spring. The Elks Students of the Year will be announced at the spring banquet.
Congratulations Lari and Caleb!! The Bernie community is extremely proud of you and your accomplishments!!

Dexter, Missouri – This is the first year for Scholar Bowl at Dexter Senior High School.
According to the Missouri Sate High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Scholar Bowl can be characterized as competition in which subject matter in multiple academic disciplines is used. This activity features head to head academic team competition, quick response answers, time limits on questions and use of recognition systems by participants. The current Scholar Bowl disciplines are science, math, social studies, communication arts, fine arts/performing arts, and miscellaneous.
Varsity students participating are: Katie DeWitt, Shelby Gathings, Erin Lauters, Honey Patel, Brooks Propst, Brandon Quertermous, Rebecca Singh, Alexis Smith, Dakota Southerland, and Drew Thompson.
Junior varsity students participating are: Eva Baran, Caprese Bostic, Kerigan Brady, Jordan Chambliss, Emily Ladd, Dylan Long, Reagan Miller, Jon Rodgers, Sean Rybolt, and Jack Worley.
Currently the Varsity Scholar Bowl's record is 3 - 3 and the Junior Varsity's record is 2 - 4.Below is the schedule for the rest of their 2014 – 2015 season.
