Dexter, Missouri – The Regional Healthcare foundation wards annually a $10,000 scholarship to a Stoddard County graduating senior who is pursuing a degree in a health-related field.

The 2013 Regional Healthcare Scholarship is awarded to Chase Young of Dexter, Missouri.   Regional Healthcare Foundation Board President, Darla Grossman presented Chase with the scholarship.

Chase is the son of Marty and Christine Young and will be graduating from Dexter High School on May 17, 2013.  He plans to attend the University of Tennessee at Martin to study pre-med.

Young will also be playing baseball for UT Martin before continuing on to medical school.  He hopes to one day become an orthopedic surgeon and return to Southeast Missouri and open his own practice.

Congratulations Chase on a job well done!
