Marshall–Mayer Engagement
The parents of Ashley Marie Marshall and Dustin Louis Mayer are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

Ashley is the daughter of Tom and Linette Marshall and Harry and Pam Pinney of Columbia.  She is a 2008 graduate of the University of Missouri with a bachelor's. degree in biological science.  In 2011, Ashley graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law in Columbia with a Juris Doctorate degree and is presently employed as an associate attorney with Armstrong Teasdale LLP in St. Louis.

Dustin is the son of Rob and Nancy Mayer of Dexter.  He is a 2008 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in political science.  In 2011, Dustin graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law in Columbia with a Juris Doctorate degree.  He is currently employed as an assistant attorney general in St. Louis with the Missouri Attorney General’s office. 

The wedding is planned for Sept. 15, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Dexter.

 Alyx Dyan Chevalier and Ricky Everett Schwab announce their engagement and forthcoming wedding.

Alyx is the daughter of James Burton Chevalier and the late Diana Hisle Chevalier, both from Marshall, Missouri. Rick is the son of Ricky Wayne and Shirley Ann Schwab of Lawson, Missouri.

Alyx graduated from Marshall High School in 2000 and received a bachelor’s degree from University of Saint Mary in Business Administration in 2004. She is currently employed by Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland and Wal-Mart in Dexter, Missouri.

Rick graduated from Lawson High School in 2000 and received a bachelor’s degree from Missouri Valley College in Education in 2004 and a Masters Degree from William Woods University in Secondary Administration in 2008. He is currently employed by the Dexter Public Schools as a social studies teacher, head wrestling coach and football defensive coordinator in Dexter, Missouri.  

Their wedding will take place June 2, 2012 at 5:15 p.m. at Saint Peter Catholic Church in Marshall, Missouri.

Mark and Lisa Fulkerson, are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Haley Marie, to Timothy John Robey, son of Tim and Mindy Robey.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mae Ivy and the late Don Stevens and Rilla Fulkerson and the late James Fulkerson. The bridegroom is the grandson of John Davis and the late Kathleen Davis and Bo and Jessie Robey.

Haley graduated from Dexter High School in 2007 and received a Bachelor's degree from Southeast Missouri State University in Business Administration in 2011. She is currently employed by County Wide Insurance in Dexter.

TJ graduated from Dexter High School in 2005 and received a Bachelor's degree from Arkansas State University in Business Administration in 2009. He is currently employed by W.W. Wood Products in Dudley.

The wedding will take place March 31, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Dexter.

Devon Bireta and Jon Parker Shipman, both of Prairie Village, Kansas, were married on July 22, 2011 at the Azul Beach Hotel in Riviera Maya, Mexico. 

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Jane Bireta of Lawrence, Kansas, and the granddaughter of H. Malcolm Hardy of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The groom is the son of Ronnie and Vickie Shipman of Malden, Missouri and the grandson of Lucille Shipman of Bernie, Missouri. 

Maid of honor was Anne Marie Bireta, sister of the bride. Best man was Brandon Shipman, brother of the groom. 

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Lawrence Free State High School and a 2007 graduate of Truman State University, where she received a Bachelor's degree in history and a Master's in elementary education in 2008. She is currently employed by the Shawnee Mission School District as a fifth grade teacher. 

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Bernie High School and a 2007 graduate of Truman State University, where he received a Bachelor's degree in visual communications. He is currently employed by Strategic Internet Solutions as a graphic designer. 

The couple reside in Prairie Village, Kansas.

Haley Annette Jennings and Allan Drew Silman were united in marriage on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at St. Denis Parish in Benton, Missouri.  Father Michael Casteel performed the double-ring ceremony.  Vocalist was Brad Berry of Jackson, Missouri.

Parents of the newlyweds are Randy and Jana Jennings of Bernie, Missouri and Mark and Cindy Silman of Benton, Missouri.

Maid of Honor was Tiffany Cook of Aledo, Illinois.  Bridesmaids were Lindsey Heiskell of Dexter, Missouri; Casey Adams of Paducah, Kentucky; Miranda Banken of Dexter, Missouri; Sasha Jackson; Laura Pletcher of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and Julie Jennings, sister-in-law of the bride, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Andy Silman of Benton, Missouri was his brother’s best man.  Groomsmen were Jared Dirnberger; Jordan Dirnberger, both of Benton, Missouri; Travis Glueck of St. Louis; Brian Shelton of Caruthersville, Missouri; Andrew Kerby of New Hamburg, Missouri; and J.R. Jennings, brother of the bride, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. 

Flower girl was Leah Silman, niece of the groom.  Ring bearer was Drew Silman, nephew of the groom.  Leah and Drew are the children of Andy and Michelle Essner.

The reception was held at St. Denis Parish immediately following the ceremony.

The groom’s parents hosted the rehearsal dinner on October 14 at their home in Benton, Missouri.

Mrs. Silman is a 1999 graduate of Bernie High School, and received a degree in Secondary Education, with a concentration in Business Education, from Southeast Missouri State University in 2004.  She is the business teacher at Richland School District in Essex, Missouri.

The groom is a 2002 graduate of Kelley High School.  He is currently employed at Noranda Aluminum in Marston, Missouri.

The couple reside in Benton.
