
The Dexter 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams recently held their annual Hits for Hope games.
The teams raised nearly $5,000 which was donated to 18 ForLife.

Dexter, MO - The Dexter varsity baseball team defeated Bernie Mules 3-1 in the semifinal game of the 2022 SCAA Baseball Tournament on Tuesday. Both pitchers were strong on the mound.
Kaeden Kennedy (DEX) allowed just four hits and took the win. The fireballer allowed one run over seven innings, striking out ten.
John Nimmo (BRN) took the loss and only allowed five hits and three runs over six innings, striking out seven.
An early lead helped propel the Bearcats to victory. Dexter pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning.
Dexter scored on a walk by #16 Ben Howard, junior, and a double on a 1-0 count, by #17 Lee-Michael McDonald, freshman, scoring two runs.
Kennedy, Camden Riley, McDonald, Beau Carrier, and Taylor Condict each managed one hit to lead the Bearcats.
Patrick Liddell went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the Mules in hits. Bernie didn't commit a single error in the field. Liddell had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.

Jackson, MO - The Dexter Golf Team did not take Monday off. They traveled to Jackson and competed in the Jackson Golf Invitational. The team finished in 3rd place with a total of 338 points.
Alex Wiseman, Poplar Bluff, won with a score of 73.
Poplar Bluff won the Invitational with a total of 318 points. Jackson finished in 2nd place with a total of 320 points.
Cy Worley medaled with a score of 79 and tied for 6th place with Evan Adams of Jackson.
Dylan Sitze medaled with a score of 80 and tied for 8th place with Andrew Henson of Jackson.
Ben Christian finished with a score of 85 and tied for 16th place.
Matt Hardin tied for 37th place and Tucker Temples tied for 40th place.
