2018 7th Annual Swing Pink Softball Tournament Set for Saturday
Dexter, Missouri - The Dexter Lady Cats will host the 7th annual Swing Pink Softball Tournament on Saturday, April 7, 2017 with games slated to begin at 9:00 a.m. at the softball fields behind East City Park in Dexter.  Three brackets, 24 teams, one full day of softball!

The tournament will benefit the Ben Kruse 18FORE Life Foundation.

The 18 FORE Life Foundation originated in 2000, when four friends got together an decided it would be fun to raise some money for a good cause by hosting a golf tournament. In 2002, love offerings were sent out for the first time to families all over Southeast Missouri battling cancer and in need of love, hope, and encouragement.

Britney is the daughter of Denny and Michelle Hubbard.

She has participated in basketball cheer the past three years and football cheer all four years of high school.

She is also a member of FCCLA and DECA.

Her future plans are to attend Three Rivers College to cheer, major in Business Administration, and get her Real Estate License.

Dexter, Missouri - Dexter HIgh School Winter Sports senior night featuring Rhylan Hillis.

Rhylan is the daughter of Darren and Tory Hillis.

She has participated in football cheer one year, volleyball three years, basketball cheer four years and track & field all four years of high school.

She is also a member of Future Business Leaders of America, Future Teachers of America, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Sr. Beta Club, National Honors Society, Top 10%, Teens Against Smoking Coalition, Model UN, and Student Council.

She earned All-County Cheerleading four years in a row, Academic All State Cheerleader, and All American Cheerleader.

Her future plans are to attend the University of Mississippi to cheer and major in Broadcast Journalism.

Maci was a Top 10% for three years and Academic All State Volleyball her junior and senior years.

Her future plans are to attend Austin Peay University to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Dexter Wins the 2018 Bernie 8th Grade Volleyball Tournament

Bernie, Missouri - The Dexter Lady Cats faced the Bloomfield Lady Wildcats in the championship game at the 2018 Bernie 8th Grade Volleyball Tournament on Wednesday evening.  Due to a power outage on Tuesday night semifinal games and the championship game had to be postponed until the following night.

Dexter came away with the final win earning another championship.  This was Kacey Christian's first Bernie Tournament win as the middle school head volleyball coach.

"I am very proud of these girls," commented Christian. "They are fun to watch and work hard every day."

Dexter defeated Bloomfield in two sets, 25-12, 25-15
