Teresa Kay Freeland, daughter of the late Bonard Newell and Mary Katherine Graue Newell, was born on July 15, 1955, in Arkansas, and departed this life on March 30, 2023, at her residence in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 67 years.
Mrs. Freeland worked as an in-home care aid for A Plus and she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Dexter.
On November 21, 1979, in Sikeston, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Edward Lee Freeland Sr. Mr. Freeland preceded her in death on January 19, 2012.
She is survived by her son, Edward Lee Freeland Jr. of Dexter, Missouri; by her daughter, Sharon Renee Weyand-Starr of Dexter, Missouri; by two brothers, David Newell of Perryville, Missouri, and Randy Newell of Sikeston, Missouri; by her sister, Sandra Hendrix of Dexter, Missouri; by five grandchildren, Brittney Cheyenne Freeland, Lee Marsh, Chelsie Montano, London Shroyer, and Cierra Weyand; and by three great-grandchildren, Damari Patton, Alijah Shroyer, and Greyson Shroyer.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Newell; and by four sisters, Jennie Pulliam, Glenda Kearbey, Norma Hargrove, and Donna Pemberton.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.

Helen Voss of Puxico, Missouri, the daughter of the late Thurman Lestie and Minnie Aline (Mossman) O'Neal was born on March 2, 1948, in Puxico, Missouri, and passed away on March 25, 2023, in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 75.
Helen moved back to Puxico in 2011 after working in St. Louis for the Internal Revenue Service until her retirement. She also spent time living in Tennessee. Helen was of the Baptist Faith and loved crocheting, knitting, all arts and crafts, cooking and baking. She really enjoyed spending time with family spoiling her grand kids. She never knew a stranger and was like an adopted influence to most.
Helen is survived by one son, William (Visnja) McCullar of St. Louis, Missouri, two daughters, Tammy (Dennis) Ludwig of St. Louis, Missouri; Tanya (Joe) Caito of Eureka, Missouri; two brothers, Donald Gene (Dorothy) O'Neal and Thurman Russell O'Neal of Puxico, Missouri; six grandchildren, Cassidy Ludwig; Tyler Ludwig; Ethan McCullar; Gordon McCullar; Evan Caito and Gavin Caito; four great-grandchildren as well a host of family and friends.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her life partner, William Bill McCullar; one brother, Freeman Lestie O'Neal; five sisters, Lois Caldwell, Shirley Bolin, Fernie Julius, Virginia Spears, Loreda Janson; and one grandson, William McCullar.
Visitation Service will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with Funeral Service to follow the Watkins And Sons Funeral Chapel in Puxico, Missouri, with Pastor Kenneth Lambert of Puxico, Missouri, officiating.
Interment will follow at the Rock Hill Cemetery near Puxico, Missouri, with Watkins And Sons of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
Patsy Lorean Stevens-Ingle was born on August 26, 1943 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to the late Lloyd Prater and Nellie Hartwell Prater. She died peacefully in her home in Bernie, Missouri on March 27, 2023 at the age of 79.
Patsy was united in marriage to the late Henry Harold Stevens on August 19, 1959. She later married Sonny Ingle on December 30, 1993, who preceded her in death on June 13, 2022.
Patsy was a member of the Bernie Church of Christ. Not only did Patsy enjoy going to church, she also had many other endeavors. She was a former alderman for the City of Bernie and the Chairwoman for the Bernie City Park Committee. Improving the park was something she cherished doing. She retired from teaching for the Malden School district after 32 years. Patsy also retired from the Stoddard County Ambulance after 32 years of service. She was an avid landscaper, gardener and designer. However, the highlight of Patsy’s life was her family. She loved spending time cooking for her children and grandchildren.
Those left behind to mourn her passing are her daughter, Cynthia Stevens of Sikeston, Missouri; her son, Bradley Stevens & wife Amber of Bernie, Missouri; by two grandsons, Quinton Stevens & wife Tanya and Joshua Stevens & wife Mckenzie; by one great-granddaughter, Ellie Stevens and one great-grandson, Dawson Stevens, all of Bernie, Missouri; By one step-daughter, Kathryn Stanley & husband Dewayne of New Madrid, Missouri; by two step-grandchildren, Valeri Duke & husband Kyle and Tyler Stanley & wife Shawna; by two step-great-granddaughters, Rylie and Lexy; by one brother, Calvin Prater of Greenville, Missouri; also by other relatives and many friends.
Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Joann Hargies and Mary King; by two brothers, Donald Prater and Harold Prater.

Funeral services will then be conducted at 1:00 PM in the Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie with Stan Dauck officiating. Interment will follow in Bernie Cemetery. Harriet Jane Hight Suhany, daughter of the late Joseph Hight and Ethel Grisham Hight, was born on July 9, 1932, in Morehouse, Missouri, and departed this life on Monday, March 27, 2023 at the Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston, Missouri, at the age of 90 years.
Mrs. Suhany was a stay-at-home mom until her youngest child entered school. She was then a cook at Southwest Elementary in Dexter, Missouri for over 20 years. During the summer, she was also a cook for the Baptist Church camp in Van Buren, Missouri. She enjoyed gardening and canning. She loved raising African Violets and watching St. Louis Cardinal Baseball. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Dexter and a resident of Dexter.
On December 31, 1953, in Morehouse, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Rev. Vincent Suhany. Rev. Suhany preceded her in death on April 23, 2016.
She is survived by two sons, Dr. Mark Suhany and wife Lisa of Henderson, Nevada and Daniel Suhany of Carrollton, Texas; by two daughters, Barbara Short and husband Randy of Jamestown, Kentucky and Ilona Sadler and husband Kevin of Bloomfield, Missouri; by her twin brother, Harry Hight of Peoria, Illinois; by five grandchildren, Sarah Jane Shoemaker and husband Adam of Hickory Creek, Texas, Susan Short of Jamestown, Kentucky, Kellie Justice and husband Michael of Russell Springs, Kentucky, Holly Short of Jamestown, Kentucky, and Jackson Suhany of Carrollton, Texas; by two step-grandchildren, Michael Sadler of Dexter, Missouri and Ashley Blackwell of Dexter, Missouri; by eight great-grandchildren, Reid Shoemaker, Harper Shoemaker, Ayden Sadler, Jensen Blackwell, Liam Sadler, Ronin Blackwell, Shire Sadler, and Swayze Sadler; and by a special niece, Barbara Nesser of Sunset Hills, Missouri.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Carl Vincent Short; by her daughter-in-law, Michelle Suhany; three brothers, Hallie Hight, Harold Hight, Howard Hight; and by five sisters, Helen Hight, Hazel Moran, Havetta McCain, Hetty Austin, and Hilda Jo Rhodes.

Lonny Mittag officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Cindy June Hicks was born April 28, 1959, in Watseka, Illinois to parents Hubert F. and Patricia A. Davis, both who preceded her in death. Cindy passed away on March 27, 2023, in Springfield, Missouri.
Cindy and Gary Hicks were united in marriage in Urbana, Illinois on May 10, 1977. Gary and Cindy were married for 45 years, and had two sons Wade Matthew and Dustin Christopher, and a daughter Karlie Sue. Gary preceded her in death on June 12, 2022.
Gary and Cindy moved back to Southeast Missouri where they settled in Bloomfield, Missouri. Cindy had earned a Cosmetology degree and owned and operated “The Hair Clinic” in Bloomfield, Missouri from 1984 until retiring in 2021. Cindy was a devout Christian and member of the Dudley and Bloomfield Churches of Christ.
Cindy is survived by son Wade and wife Phuong, son Dustin and wife Ashleigh, daughter Karlie, three grandchildren Leightin, Ashtin, and Clara, and siblings Susan Rhode, Lee Ann Ennen, and Paulin Abbott. She was preceded in death by her brother Sam Davis.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. at Old Essex Cemetery on Thursday, March 30, 2023.
