Gene Cobb, son of the late Clarence Cobb and Nancy Lyons Cobb, was born on April 14, 1946, in Corning, Arkansas, and departed this life on June 22, 2022, at Winchester Nursing Center in Bernie, Missouri, at the age of 76 years.

Mr. Cobb was a former employee of Brown Shoe Company in Bernie, Missouri.

He is survived by two daughters, Nora Lang of Scott City, Missouri and Susan Miller of Advance, Missouri; by his step-son, Roy Rickman of Bernie, Missouri; by his step-daughter, Sharon Meadows of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; by two brothers, Joe Cobb of Bernie, Missouri and Jerry Cobb of Malden, Missouri; by two sisters, Vernell Ross of Malden, Missouri and Bonnie Sue Fouse of Hoopeston, Illinois; and by twelve grandchildren; Krendy DeJournett, Travis DeJournett, Sarah Lang, Austin Miller, Ethan Miller, Kade Miller, Gena Meadows, Staci Snider, Kelli Underwood, Mandy Meppiel, Samantha Collins, and Joe Baxter.

Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-son, Joe Baxter; by his step-daughter, Ramona Stockton; by three brothers, Vonda Cobb, Leon Cobb, and Willie Cobb; and by his sister, Wretha Minton.

Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 10:00 a.m.

Interment will follow at a later date in the Bernie Cemetery.
