
Gavin Michael Long, 16, was born on March 14, 2005, in Cape Girardeau, to Gabriel Michael and Ashley Nesselrodt Long, and passed away April 22, 2021.
He was the grandson of Troy and Kaki Long of Portageville and Robert Lynn Nesselrodt and Heidi Elizabeth Hunter of New Madrid.
Gavin was a 2019 graduate of Immaculate Conception Catholic School in New Madrid and member of Immaculate Conception Congregation. He was a sophomore at New Madrid County Central High School.
He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and golfer. He was a member of the New Madrid County Central Eagles Golf team, as well as a leader in the New Madrid County Central Eagles Pep Club, The Nest. He loved playing and singing with his guitar.
Gavin could light up a room with his infectious smile and witty personality. He loved to laugh and make others laugh. Gavin was never afraid to be unique, he was his own young man. His family and especially his friends will miss his wonderful spirit.
In addition to his parents and grand-parents, he is survived by one brother, Trey Moore, and many, many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where a Rosary is scheduled for 8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church.
Burial will follow in Evergreen in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Delisle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: Cullen Pearson, Julian Courtois, Clay Cope, Jack Westcoat, Edwin Ling, Matt Riley, Simon Cooper and Ansel Underwood.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception School, New Madrid or to Gavin Long Scholarship Fund.

Terry Joe Childers, son of William Childers of Bernie, Missouri, and the late Mildred Cullum Childers, was born on August 30, 1960 in Dexter, Missouri, and departed this life on April 22, 2021 at his residence in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 60 years.
Mr. Childers worked in maintenance at WW Wood Products in Dudley, Missouri.
On July 13, 1979, in Bernie, Missouri, he was first united in marriage to Deanna Gay Minton. Mrs. Childers preceded him in death on December 24, 2016. He was then united in marriage to Sharon Burns on November 30, 2019, in Dexter, Missouri. Mrs. Childers survives of their home in Dexter.
In addition to his wife, Sharon, and his father, William, he is survived by three sons, James Childers (Sabrina) of Dexter, Missouri, Terry Childers Jr. (Ashley) of Ashland, Alabama, Gavin Childers (Toni) of Dexter, Missouri; by his daughter, Christina Woolard (Nick) of Naylor, Missouri; by his step-sons, Dusty Burns (Chassey) and Dalton Burns (Jessica), all of Dexter, Missouri; by two brothers, Danny Childers of Bernie, Missouri, and Larry Childers of Campbell, Missouri; by his sister, Lorie Reed of Bernie, Missouri; and by nineteen grandchildren.
Other than by his first wife and mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Childers.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, April 25, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Chapel on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Troy Sisk officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Betty Stoker Taylor, daughter of the late Charles Stoker and Iva Gilbreth Stoker, was born on April 26, 1941 in Clay County, Arkansas, and departed this life on April 21, 2021 at her residence in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 79 years.
Ms. Taylor was in the Naval Reserve for six years. She previously worked for Arvin Automotive in Dexter and she was a former cashier at Save-A-Lot in Dexter, and a former bartender at the Eagle’s in Dexter. She enjoyed working in her flower bed and vegetable garden and working on counted cross stitch.
She is survived by her daughter, Candy Conner of Dexter, Missouri; by her brother Thomas Stoker of Bearden, Arkansas; and by her sister, Margarita Throgmartin of Bloomfield, Missouri.
Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Mitchell Conner, by two brothers, Roy Stoker and O’Dell Stoker, and by her sister, Dorothy Blunt.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Chapel on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Novella Razer Newcomer age 95 of Bloomfield, Missouri passed away April 21, 2021. She was born to the late Leland Moses and Gracie Cora Deck Linville on July 2, 1925 in Zadock, Missouri.
Novella first married Ervin Razer March 20, 1943 in Bloomfield, and he preceded her in death in 1985 and then she married Davey Newcomer on October 2, 1999 in Dexter, Missouri he also precedes her in death. She worked at Elder manufacturing as a seamstress. She did baby sitting, and Novella and Reverend Ervin were very active in church. Novella lived in Risco, Scott City, Bell City, Dexter Missouri and Valier, Illinois before moving to Bloomfield where she lived until her passing. Novella loved sewing, quilting, reading and crossword puzzles.
Novella is survived by two sons James Razer of Bloomfield, Missouri and Randy (Madonna) Newcomer of Broken Arrow Oklahoma; two daughters Diana (Lennie) Hanner of Valier Illinois, Robin (Jim) Hindman of Chaffee, Missouri and one daughter in law Barbara Razer of Risco, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren. A host of family and friends also survive her. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Leland Razer, one daughter-in-law Louise Razer, four brothers Robert, Amos, Jesse, and Clyde Linville and three sisters Iness Croy, Mertie Cates, and Bessie Roper.
Visitation will be held on Sunday April 25, 2021 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
