Robert Leon Laird, son of Wilma Deck Laird and the late Leon Laird, was born on September 26, 1969, in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri and departed this life at Southeast Health of Stoddard County on June 10, 2019 at the age of 49 years.

Mr. Laird was a farm laborer for Strickland Farms for twenty-six years.

On January 20, 2007, in Dexter, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Danielle Walley.  Mrs. Laird survives of their home in Dexter.

In addition to his wife, Danielle, and his mother, Wilma, he is survived by two sons, Brandon Laird and Dylan Laird, both of Dexter.

Winifred “Freddie” Perry, daughter of the late Winifred Knight and Daisy Wellman Knight, was born on May 11, 1930 in Stoddard County, Missouri and departed this life on June 9, 2019 at Puxico Nursing and Rehab Center in Puxico, Missouri at the age of 89 years.

Mrs. Perry was a former cook for Beverly Enterprises.

In 1946, in Piggott, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Donald E. Perry.  Mr. Perry preceded her in death on December 1, 2011.

She is survived by two sons, Rick Perry and his friend Pam McClure of Wappapello, Missouri and Donn Perry of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; by her daughter, Sheri Stone and her friend John Hulley of Wappapello, Missouri; and by one grandson, Casey Perry.

Funeral Services will then be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dale Holman officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Dale Lee McClanahan, son of the late Charles Houston McClanahan and Sula Chism McClanahan, was born on January 13, 1949 in Broseley, Missouri and departed this life on June 8, 2019 at his residence in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 70 years.

Mr. McClanahan was a veteran of the United States Army.  He was a laborer for a lumber yard and a resident of Dexter.

On September 1, 1973, in Aid, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Janet Miller.  Mrs. McClanahan survives of their home in Dexter.

In addition to his wife, Janet, he is survived by his son, David McClanahan and his wife Amberle of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and by two grandchildren, Elizabeth McClanahan and Lucas McClanahan.

Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles McClanahan and Donald McClanahan.

Stephen William Smee, son of the late George Franklin Smee and Elva Gaines Smee, was born on May 18, 1942 in Broseley, Missouri and departed this life on June 5, 2019 at Mercy Health-Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky at the age of 77 years.

Mr. Smee was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in Japan during the Vietnam War.  He was a former manager of the grain elevator for MFA in Bernie, Missouri, for a number of years.  Most recently, he was manager of the AgriChem office in Eddyville, KY. Steve was involved in sports from a young age - playing, coaching, and refereeing filled many hours. As a result, he was awarded the Kentucky Colonel title in recognition of outstanding service to his community. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening and bird watching, and was a proud fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.

On June 19, 1965, in Bernie, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Mary Coats, who resides in Calvert City, Kentucky. Their loving, strong and happy marriage continues to set an amazing example for all who knew them. 

In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Zimmerman and her husband, Eric, of O’Fallon, Missouri; three sons, Christopher Smee and his wife, April, of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, Derek Smee of Spruce Pine, North Carolina and Jason Smee and his wife, Darla, of Newbern, Tennessee; by two brothers, Stan Smee of Jackson, Missouri and Gary Smee of Mountain City, Texas; by one sister, Sharon Smiley of Bernie, Missouri, and by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed. 

Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Ann Smee, in infancy.  

Graveside services will be conducted at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dean Williams officiating.

Louise  Gray, 89, of Poplar Bluff, MO went to her heavenly home on June 04, 2019 at her home in Poplar Bluff. 

Louise was born on August 28, 1929 to Jake and Florence Ferguson in Blodgett, Missouri.  She was united in marriage to the father of her 3 sons, Willard Boyer, on December 21, 1945.  He preceded her in death Nov. 4, 1996.  She was then later married to Ken Gray March 18, 1997.  He preceded her in death Aug. 22, 2012

Louise enjoyed babysitting, visiting with her friends and attending church.  She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff.  

Louise is survived by sons, Dale and  Richard Boyer; sisters, Vera Foushee and Mary Belle Stone; grandsons, Shawn, Wade, Cody, Dylan and Zack Boyer; great-granddaughters, Justina, Kailey, Kristen, Lexi, Rylee, Baylee and Hadlee; great-grandson, Lariat; step daughter, Vicki Henderson-Kelley, step-daughter; Jill Allison, step-son Johnny Gray; step-grandson, Kurt Henderson; step- granddaughter, Hannah Allison step- grandson, Brandon Allison, step- granddaughter, Sydney Allison step-granddaughter, Lauren Emerson.

Louise was preceded by her parents, husband Willard Boyer, son, Randy Boyer, husband  Ken Gray and 10 siblings.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019  from 12 pm to 1 pm  at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff, MO.

The funeral service will follow at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel with Brother Gene Lancaster officiating. 

Burial will be at Brown Chapel in Broseley, Mo
