In Memory of Stewart James Barney
Stewart James Barney, son of Robert S. Barney and Janice Hilfiker Barney was born on January 29, 1988 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed this life on July 18, 2018 in Hot Springs, Arkansas at the age of 30 years.

Stewart was in Hotel Management and lived in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Besides his parents, he is survived by one brother, Alex Barney and other family relatives and friends.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 21 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Kenny Pope, Larry Thompson and Alex Barney as the speakers.  Interment will follow at the Chalk Bluff Cemetery in Rural Dexter.

In Memory of Naomi Lee Westfall Tucker
Naomi Lee Westfall Tucker, daughter of the late Benjamin F. Westfall and Bessie Mae Pilkenton Westfall, was born on August 2, 1929 and departed this life on July 16, 2018 at her residence in Essex, Missouri at the age of 88 years.

Mrs. Tucker was an elementary school teacher at Grayridge and Galloway schools.  She helped on the family farm, Tucker Farm, where there wasn’t a task she wouldn’t do.

On September 25, 1948 in Piggott, Arkansas she was united in marriage to Carol Otis Tucker.  Mr. Tucker preceded her in death on January 13, 1981.

Survivors include one daughter, Twyla Renea Tucker of Essex, Missouri and two brothers; James Westfall of Hillsboro, Missouri and Nolas Westfall of St. Louis, Missouri.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Alvin Ray Dean and Flavel Westfall and by two sisters; Virginia Westfall Cowan McGinns and Ada Mae Westfall Balter.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri on Friday, July 20, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Jeremy Tucker officiating.  Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

In Memory of Rickey Dale Campbell
Rickey Dale Campbell, son of the late Oscar Campbell and Mildred Moore Campbell was born in Parma, Missouri on March 2, 1950 and departed this life at his residence in Bernie, Missouri on July 17, 2018 at the age of 68.

Mr. Campbell was a farm worker.

Survivors include four brothers, Bobby Campbell and Edward Campbell both of St. Charles, Illinois, Eugene Campbell of Bernie and Curtis Campbell of Steele, Missouri; by three sisters, Shelba Wilson of Macon, Missouri, Carol Campbell of Steele, Missouri and Joyce Campbell of Bernie, Missouri; also by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death other than his parents, by two brothers, Charles Campbell and Junior Campbell; by one sister Beulah Pinkard.

Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.   

Funeral services will then be conducted Thursday at 11:00 A.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Steve Fitzpatrick officiating. 

Interment will follow in Bernie Cemetery. 

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.

In Memory of Randall Ramsey
Randall Ramsey, the long time Mayor of Parma, died peacefully in his sleep on July 16, 2018.

In addition to being Mayor, he owned & operated W.L.Ramsey, Inc. a farm equipment dealership for more than 30 years. Randall was preceded in death by his parents, W.L. and Lorene (Dawson) Ramsey, his brother W.L. Ramsey, Jr. (Cowboy).

He was also preceded in death by his wife Gay (Murphy) Ramsey and daughter Carol Ramsey. He is survived by two sisters, Lucille Bloess of Sedalia and Betty Spence of Kirkwood; his grandson, Matt Creason; and two sons, Richard (Jane) Ramsey and Daryl Ramsey.

He was born and lived his entire life in Parma.

He was active in local and state politics for many years. In 1964 Governor Warren Hearnes named Ramsey a Governor’s Colonel for his help in Hearnes’ election. He served on several civic boards through the years and was a member of the Parma Lions Club.

Ramsey attended Missouri Military Academy & graduated from Parma High School. He also attended the University of Missouri.

There will be a visitation from 4-6 pm Friday, July 20 at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. The funeral will be Saturday, July 21 at 10:30 am also at the funeral chapel.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

The family request memorial donations be made to the St. Francis Healthcare Foundation, 211 St. Francis Dr., Cape Girardeau, MO 63703.

In Memory of Jerry Dale Townsend
Jerry Dale Townsend of Dudley, son of the late James and Myrtle Irene Williams Townsend, was born in Fisk, Missouri on October 20, 1944, and passed away at the Southeast Health Center of Stoddard County on July 17, 2018, at the age of 73 years, 8 months and 27 days.

He had lived in the Dudley area most of his life. He had worked as a carpenter for Brown Construction for over 25 years and had attended the Advance First Church. He was a avid Cardinal

Baseball fan and enjoyed watching westerns.

On November 20, 1965, he was married to Janice Jean Hunt in Dudley.

Surviving are his wife, Janice Townsend of Dudley; two sons, Jerry (Angela) Townsend of Dexter, Scott (Stephanie) Townsend of Dudley; eight grandchildren; two sisters, JoAnn (David) Horn of Farmington; Emma Lou Hobbs of Jonesboro, Arkansas; three brothers, Carl (Dorothy) Townsend of Dexter, Pete (Martha) Townsend of Jackson, Larry (Doris) Townsend of Pacific. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by four brothers, David, Bob, Louie, and Jack Townsend and one sister, Shirley Bender.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018, after 12:00 p.m. at Watkins & Sons Funeral Service in Dexter, Missouri until time of services at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Cory Townsend of Dudley and Pastor Brad Moore of Advance officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dudley Cemetery in Dudley, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
