Terry Lynn Flowers, daughter of the late Glyn Leon Bowman and Helen Gene Cartwright Bowman was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on February 12, 1995 and departed this life at her residence in Rural Bernie, Missouri on August 10, 2017 at the age of 62.

 

 Mrs. Flowers had worked at Nordyne in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and was a homemaker.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bernie.

 

 She was united in marriage to David Ray Flowers in Bernie, Missouri on May 25, 1973.  Mr. Flowers remains in their home in Rural Bernie.

 

Other survivors include one son, David Ray Flowers Jr. & wife Stephanie of Arlington, Tennessee; by one daughter, Jamie Ann Placher & husband Perry of Puxico, Missouri; by one sister, Sharon Cullen of Folsom, California; by five Grandchildren; also by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death other than by her parents, by one brother, Dennis Bowman.

 

Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.  

A Memorial service will then be conducted at 11:00 A.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ray Placher officiating.  

Interment will follow in Bernie Cemetery.

Richard Gene Wiseman, son of Cecil Wiseman and Della England Wiseman both of Dexter, was born on September 29, 1952 in Dexter and departed this life on August 4, 2017 at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau at the age of 64.

Mr. Wiseman was Veteran of the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam War.  He had formerly worked at the Dexter Wal-Mart as their Automotive Supervisor and was a resident of Dexter.

On May 5, 1975, he was united in marriage to Clara Whitaker in Dexter.

Other survivors include three grandchildren, Kalie Whalen, Bran Whalen and Dakoda Whalen: by one brother, Kenneth Wiseman of Dexter: by one sister, Peggy Shaver of Dexter.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Whalen: by his step-mother, Judy Wiseman and by his brother in law, Bill Shaver. 

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.  Funeral services will then be conducted on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dwight Hensley officiating.  Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery with full Military Honors. 

Vance Duane Windham, son of the late James Vance Windham and Maudie Faye Geno Windham, was born on August 29, 1935, in Prentiss County, Mississippi.  Duane passed away surrounded by close family on August 4, 2017, at 5:30 p.m. at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 81. 

Duane is a retired physical education teacher in the St. Louis school system.  He was a teacher for 30 years.  After retirement he spent his time with family, extensive gardening, and playing golf. 

He was a member of, and attended, Grace Baptist Church in St. Charles, Missouri. 

Along with his parents, Vance and Maudie, one brother, Franklin “Manzy” Windham, preceded him in death.   

He is survived by two sisters, Martha Windham Hagler (Roger) and Joyce Windham Green (Glen); one son, Don James Windham (Vicki); two grandsons, Eric James and Ryan James Windham; and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.  

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.  Funeral services will immediately follow visitation at the Booneville Funeral Home.

The visitation will take place at the Booneville Funeral Home in Booneville, Mississippi.

He will be laid to rest at the Crossroads Methodist Church in Jumpertown, Mississippi.  

Officiating will be Brother Jason Franklin and Brother M.J. Pope.

Dale Weaver son of the late Otis Weaver and Winnie Skelton Weaver was born on March 9, 1939 in Bloomfield and departed this life on August 3, 2017 at the Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 78.

Mr. Weaver was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of the South Pleasant Valley Church and the Stoddard County Honor Guard.  He was a retired truck driver and a resident of Bloomfield.

On July 30, 1960, he was united in marriage to Rachel Stoker in Bloomfield.  Mrs. Weaver survives of their home in Bloomfield.

Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Don Weaver of St. Louis; by two brothers, Don Weaver of Bloomfield and Harold Gaines of Sikeston and by four sisters, Melba Barnett of Bloomfield, Dorothy Evans of Cypress, Texas, Georgia Hughes of Warrior, Alabama and Louise Smith of Bloomfield.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, James Weaver and by one sister, Helen Bowling.

Funeral services will then be conducted on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. David Looney and Rev. Jack Gillis officiating.  Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full Military Honors.

Karen Denise “Candi” Rainey, daughter of Mae Della Johns Rainey and McKinley Rainey in St. Louis, Missouri on August 20, 1968 and departed this life at Poplar Bluff 

Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on August 3, 2017 at the age of 48.

 

Ms. Rainey was a graduate of Bernie High School; and  had worked in Nursing Homes. She attended Mount Calvary of Parma, Missouri and was a resident of Parma.

 

Survivors include her parents, McKinley & Mae Della Rainey of Parma, Missouri; by one daughter, Krystal Rainey & friend Lamont Thatch;   by one sister, Della

(DEE DEE) Delores Rainey-Hess & husband Steven Dale Hess of Malden, Missouri; by two brothers, McKinley Rainey & wife Un Yung of State of Washington and Gordon Rainey & wife Christy Shaffer-Rainey of the State of Georgia; by her grandmother, Nelvia Mae Rainey; by her best friend and Helper, Aunt Diane Allison; by a host of Aunts and Uncles and Cousins; by a host of Nieces and Nephews, Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews; also by other relatives and many friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her Paternal Grandfather, Nathanial Rainey; by her Maternal Grandparents, Melvin Oscar Johns and Levada Johns.
