In Memory of Don Welch

Don Welch, son of Donna Shelden Hatchel of Sikeston, Missouri and the late Joe Welch was born on July 7, 1962 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on May 10, 2017 at his residence in Bloomfield, Missouri at the age of 54 years.

Mr. Welch was employed at Faurecia Emissions Technologies in Dexter, Missouri, liked riding his motorcycle, and was a resident of Bloomfield.

Besides his mother, survivors include his fiancé, Joan Mitchell of Bloomfield; by three sons, Mike NeSmith-Welch (Carrie) of Bloomfield, Charley Roberts of Farmington, New Mexico, and Derrick Mitchell of Dexter; five daughters, Donna Durham (Josh) of Dexter, Amanda Archuleta (Ande) of Farmington, New Mexico, Wanda Newberry (Randy) Seneca, Missouri, Michelle Flannery (Leslie) of Dexter and Jessica Craft (Garry) of Dexter; two sisters, Marsha Smith of Wappapello, Missouri and Tiffany Wondel of Advance, Missouri; by his uncle Joe Shelden; twenty-two grandchildren, Destiny, Alexis, Zoey, Seth, Ellie, Darrin, Tether, Shatosha, Keely, Arianna, Ajay, Devin, Dravin, Dillon, Tristin, Kristin, Ashley, Shelby, Ryan, Melodi, Daniel, and Zachary; nine great-grandchildren, Braylyn, Jacklynn, Elias, Lane, Rauric, Leigha, McKayla, Colby, and Lucy; also by his best friend for life Joe Hagy.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday, May 12, 2017. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 13, 2017 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Tim Russell officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

In Memory of Mike Hester

Gilbert Michael “Mike” Hester son of the late Gilbert Christman Hester and Mary Elizabeth Gray Hester was born on June 3, 1955 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and departed this life on May 10, 2017 at his residence in rural Dexter, Missouri at the age of 61.

Mike will be remembered by his family as a “One of a Kind” husband, father and grandfather.  His personality will be irreplaceable. Mr. Hester was a businessman and was a resident of Dexter.  He was a 1974 graduate of Campbell and attended Arkansas State University.

On October 20, 1989, he was united in marriage to Nicole Stuart at Piggott Arkansas.  Mrs. Hester survives of the home.

Besides his wife, Nicole, he is survived by one son, Chris Hester of Cape Girardeau, Mo; by two daughters, Michaela Hester (Nathan) Dillinger and Madeline Hester both of Dexter, Mo; by two grandchildren, Mila Blaise Clark and Carolina Ann Hester.

There will be a Celebration of Life Ceremony conducted at the Hester Estate on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.

In Memory of Glen Arthur Gipson

Glen Arthur Gipson, son of the late Bert Truman Gipson and Lucy Ann Hickson Gipson was born on January 17, 1923 in Parma, Missouri ad departed this life on May 6, 2017 at the Parkwood Assistant Living Center at Surprise, Arizona at the age of 94.

Mr. Gipson was a Veteran of the United States Army and served in WWII.  He later became a farmer and enjoyed it all the way up to his retirement.

On February 12, 1949, he was united in marriage to Nola Irene Fauller.  Mrs. Gipson survives of their home in Sun City West, Arizona.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Vicky Lynn Hansen and her husband, Larry of Surprise, Arizona; by one brother, William Gipson of Pensacola, Florida; by two sisters, Patricia Mouser of St. Charles, Illinois and Shirley Ann Conley of Peoria, Arizona.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Thomas Glen Ray; by one brother, Marvin Gipson; and by three sisters, Reba Boatwright, Pauline Wolfrum and Bearldean Crawford.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 12:30 P.M. until 2:30 P.M. 

Funeral services will then be conducted on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 2:30 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Greg McGhee officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Dexter City Cemetery.

In Memory of Treeca Kay Curd

Treeca Kay Curd of Bloomfield, daughter of Cotus and Roberta Jean Higgins James, born in Flint, Michigan on August 19, 1951, passed away at her home in Bloomfield on May 10, 2017, at the age of 65 years, 8 months and 21 days.

Treeca had lived in Michigan until moving to Bloomfield in 1982. She had worked as a waitress at area restaurants. She had attended the Mt. Pisgah General Baptist Church near Aquilla.

On July 4, 1991, she married Jerry Lee Curd.

Surviving are her husband, Jerry Curd of Bloomfield; her parents, Cotus and Roberta James of Dexter; one son & wife, Vince James (Karen) Lockhart of Bloomfield; one daughter, Lisa Jean Lockhart of Dexter; one step-daughter & husband, Pamela Nicole (Chris) Cross of Puxico; four grandchildren, Ciarra, Payton and Nathan Lockhart, Jacob Cross; one brother, Willis Cotus James of Flint, Michigan; two sisters, Vivian Ann Raby of Dexter and Vanessa Montrosse of Flint, Michigan. Other relatives and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by a nephew, Carl Raby.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.

Charles John Pleimling, son of the late Robert John Pleimling and Joan Eleanor Springer Pleimling, was born in Cahokia, Illinois on January 12, 1953 and departed this life at his residence in Sikeston, Missouri on May 8, 2017 at the age of 64.
 
Mr. Pleimling had worked at Brown Shoe Company, Bernie, Missouri, later he worked at Federal Mogul in Malden.  
 
He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and loved his four grand-girls!

Survivors include his life partner, Gayla Stephens of Sikeston, Missouri; by one son, Justin Pleimling & wife Kristin of Jackson, Missouri; by one daughter, Jessica Jones & husband Brian of Bernie, Missouri; by his sister Linda Wright of O’Fallon, Illinois; by four granddaughters, Camryn, Blair, Abigail and Madilyn; by the mother of his children, Debbie Stone Pleimling of Bernie, Missouri; by his close friends, Steve Stanford & wife Norma of Dexter, Missouri and Rick Warren & wife Earlene of the State of Arizona;  also by other relatives and friends.
 
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held on May 21, 2017 at the Bernie Community Center in Bernie, Missouri from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M.
