In Memory of Treeca Kay Curd

Treeca Kay Curd of Bloomfield, daughter of Cotus and Roberta Jean Higgins James, born in Flint, Michigan on August 19, 1951, passed away at her home in Bloomfield on May 10, 2017, at the age of 65 years, 8 months and 21 days.

Treeca had lived in Michigan until moving to Bloomfield in 1982. She had worked as a waitress at area restaurants. She had attended the Mt. Pisgah General Baptist Church near Aquilla.

On July 4, 1991, she married Jerry Lee Curd.

Surviving are her husband, Jerry Curd of Bloomfield; her parents, Cotus and Roberta James of Dexter; one son & wife, Vince James (Karen) Lockhart of Bloomfield; one daughter, Lisa Jean Lockhart of Dexter; one step-daughter & husband, Pamela Nicole (Chris) Cross of Puxico; four grandchildren, Ciarra, Payton and Nathan Lockhart, Jacob Cross; one brother, Willis Cotus James of Flint, Michigan; two sisters, Vivian Ann Raby of Dexter and Vanessa Montrosse of Flint, Michigan. Other relatives and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by a nephew, Carl Raby.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.

In Memory of Charles John Pleimling

Charles John Pleimling, son of the late Robert John Pleimling and Joan Eleanor Springer Pleimling, was born in Cahokia, Illinois on January 12, 1953 and departed this life at his residence in Sikeston, Missouri on May 8, 2017 at the age of 64.
 
Mr. Pleimling had worked at Brown Shoe Company, Bernie, Missouri, later he worked at Federal Mogul in Malden.  
 
He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and loved his four grand-girls!

Survivors include his life partner, Gayla Stephens of Sikeston, Missouri; by one son, Justin Pleimling & wife Kristin of Jackson, Missouri; by one daughter, Jessica Jones & husband Brian of Bernie, Missouri; by his sister Linda Wright of O’Fallon, Illinois; by four granddaughters, Camryn, Blair, Abigail and Madilyn; by the mother of his children, Debbie Stone Pleimling of Bernie, Missouri; by his close friends, Steve Stanford & wife Norma of Dexter, Missouri and Rick Warren & wife Earlene of the State of Arizona;  also by other relatives and friends.
 
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held on May 21, 2017 at the Bernie Community Center in Bernie, Missouri from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M.

In Memory of John Mitchell Tilley

John Mitchell Tilley of Bloomfield, Missouri, son of JW "Dub" and Donna Tilley and the late Patricia "Patty" Crowell Tilley was born October 13, 1964 in Dexter, Missouri and passed away in Bloomfield, Missouri on May 5, 2017, at the age of 52 years, 5 months and 23 days.

John had lived in Bloomfield all of his life.

He was employed at the Faurecia Plant in Dexter where he worked for the last 32 years.

He attended the Assembly of God Church. John enjoyed working on the farm, hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his grandkids, nieces and nephews.

On July 23, 2010 he was married to Felicia "Pete" Telker in Grassy, Missouri.

Surviving are his wife, Felicia "Pete" Tilley of Bloomfield; three sons and spouses, Mitchell & Kendall Tilley of Puxico, Missouri, Brice Earnheart & Audrea of Risco, Missouri, Brady & Jauna Bradshaw of Malden, Missouri; two daughters and spouses, Amanda "Mandy" & Dennis Graser of Bloomfield, Missouri and Melinda Tilley & fiance'' Alex Young of Peidmont, Missouri; nine grandchildren;  Amyah Clayborne, Alex Young, Jr., Lawles & Willa Graser, Sadie & Elijah Tilley, Camden Earnheart, Willow & Presley Bradshaw; two sisters and brother in law, Marty Starnes of Bloomfield, Tammy & Danny Starnes of Bloomfield. Other relatives and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary and Sherry Tilley, paternal grandparents John and Vivie Tilley and maternal grandparents Jack and Evelyn "Granny" Crowell.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 9, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Watkins and Son Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday,  May 10, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Dale Holman of Dexter officiating.

Interment will follow at the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Jimmy Brock was born on May 15, 1947 in New Madrid, Missouri to the late Watt Edward Brock & Cora Sidney Owens Brock. He departed this life on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 in Gideon, Missouri at the age of 69 years 11 months and 18 days.

Jimmy Brock had worked for the railroad and was of the Baptist faith.

His survivors include: Two Brothers: Billy Brock & wife, Karen of Malden and Phillip Brock of Malden and Two Sisters: Goldie Payne of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Shairon Bellows of Kennett, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers: C. W. Brock, Richard Brock and Robert Brock and 3 Sisters: Charslee Dunlap, Verna Brock and Ida Kneehouse.
 
Visitation was held on Friday, May 5, 2017 from 3-4 P.M. at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden. Funeral services followed at 4:00 P.M. with Mr. James Powell officiating.

Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.

In Memory of June Coffey

June M. Coffey, daughter of the late Loyd E. Estes and Etta Humpreys Estes was born on January 13, 1929 in Essex, Missouri and departed this life on May 4, 2017 at her residence near Dexter, Missouri at the age of 88.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter for 56 years and was a resident of Dexter.  Mrs. Coffey was a teacher for 7th and 8th grade in Essex Public Schools and she was a teacher’s aide in the Special Education Department for Dexter Public Schools for 25 years.

On February 22, 1948, she was united in marriage to Lewis “Bud” Coffey in Hannibal, Mo.  He resides of the home in Dexter.

Besides her husband, Lewis “Bud” Coffey, she is survived by one son, Lewis Gregory Coffey (Joyce) of St. Louis, Mo; by two daughters, Karen June Doyle (Tom) of Cape Girardeau, Mo and Nancy Ann James (Scott) of St. Louis, Mo; by five grandsons, Lance Doyle, Derek Doyle, Christopher Coffey, Andrew James and Matthew James; by four great-grandchildren, Riley Doyle, Bennett Doyle, Hadley Doyle and Emelia Coffey.

She is preceded in death by her parents; by three brothers, Lloyd Estes, Jr, Billy Estes and Michael Estes; by one sister, Eileen Ray.

Friends may call at the First United Methodist Church in Dexter on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.  Service will be conducted on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Ron Beaton officiating. 

Interment will follow at the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Stoddard County Children’s Home, PO Box 164, Dexter, Mo 63841, First United Methodist Church, 501 S. Walnut, Dexter, Mo 63841 and 18 Fore Life, C/O Scott Kruse, 705 Laurie Circle, Dexter, Mo 63841.
