
Floyd C. Northington, DO, son of the late Jack Northington and Sarah Ray Northington, was born on August 3, 1927 in Greenwood Springs, Mississippi and departed this life on March 9, 2016 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 88.
Dr. Northington was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter and a resident of Dexter. He was a retired veteran of the United States Air Force, a Colonel and a flight surgeon for twenty years. He practiced at the VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff for twenty years and was in private practice in Dexter for sixteen years.
He was a life member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons and the Southeast District Osteopathic Association.
He was a life member of the Dexter Masonic Lodge #532, a charter member of the Dexter Elks Lodge #2439, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Dexter Chapter, a member of the Moolah Temple Shriners Club and a 32nd Degree Mason in the Scottish Rite.
On May 25, 1952, he was united in marriage to Norma Helen Rinabarger in Wichita Falls, Texas. Mrs. Northington preceded him in death on February 17, 2004. He was then united in marriage to Kathleen "Kitty" Short Kandalaft on April 14, 2007. Mrs. Kitty Northington survives of the home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Joseph W. Thompson, DO, of St. Louis, Missouri and Randy Northington of Dexter, Missouri; by one daughter, Anne Newell of Dexter, Missouri; by four sisters, Doris Jean Markham of Steen, Mississippi, Mary Jo Beasley of Columbus, Mississippi, Martha Owen of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi and Nell Bennett of Fulton, Mississippi; and by four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Norma Helen Northington, and his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lena Northington and Dena Rasberry.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 12:00 Noon.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery with full military honors.

Judith Lynn Elledge, daughter of the late James H. Lynn and Marjorie Adams Lynn, was born on July 24, 1941 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and departed this life on March 4, 2016 at Southeast Health Center of Stoddard County in Dexter at the age of 74.
Mrs. Elledge was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Dexter. She had worked as a Social Worker for the State of Missouri and was a resident of Dexter.
On August 27, 1964, she was united in marriage to Gale Elledge in Dexter. Mr. Elledge preceded her in death on September 19, 2015.
She is survived by two sons, Matt Elledge of Austin, Texas and James Elledge of Landstuhl, Germany; and by four grandchildren, Ben Elledge, Cora Elledge, Kate Elledge and Max Elledge.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Lynn.

Sharon L. Pullum, daughter of Dorothy Layton White of Bloomfield and the late Shannon White, was born on June 11, 1950 in Dexter and passed away on March 4, 2016 at her residence in Bloomfield at the age of 65.
Mrs. Pullum had worked as a cosmetologist and was of the General Baptist Faith.
Besides her mother she is survived by one son, Damon and wife Gina Barnett of Columbia, Tennessee; by one daughter, Kristie and husband Kyle Wallace of Springfield, Missouri; by four brothers, Gary White of Minnesota, Larry White of Bloomfield, Bill White of Dexter and Michael White of Minnesota; by one sister, Debra Christian of Bloomfield; by five grandchildren, Alexis Meacheam, Aiden Wallace, Dylan Pullum, Casey Miller and Christopher Barnett and by two great-grandchildren, Brayden Miller and McKenna Miller.
A private memorial service will be held in Mrs. Pullum’s memory at a later date.

Vicki R. King, daughter of Bettie Cooper Thurston of Bernie, Missouri, was born on May 23, 1963 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and departed this life on March 4, 2016 at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas at the age of 52.
Mrs. King was of the Church of Christ faith. She had worked as a superintendent in commercial construction and was a resident of Sherman, Texas.
On November 11, 1987, she was united in marriage to Mark Dwayne King in Idalia, Missouri. Mr. King survives of the home.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by one son, Michael Tollison of Commerce, Texas; by two grandchildren; and by two step-brothers, Mark Thurston of Bernie, Missouri and Wade Thurston of Memphis, Tennessee.

Olen "Bo" Roper, son of the late, Sylvia W. and Edna Prichett Roper, was born in Bloomfield, Missouri on August 4, 1937, and passed away at Golden Living Center in Bloomfield, Missouri on March 6, 2016, at the age of 78 years 7 months, and 2 days.
Olen had lived most of his life in Stoddard County except for the 10 years he lived in Michigan. He attended Bible Tabernacle in Bloomfield and he owned and operated Roper's Plumbing.
On, June 18, 1989, he was married to Bonnie Hankins in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Roper of Bloomfield; one son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Tonya Roper of Dexter, Missouri, one daughter and son-in-law, Catrina and Terry Dawson of Dexter, one stepdaughter and husband, Lisa and Bobby Bemister of Bloomfield; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Marvin, Hershel, Bonnie, and W.H. Roper and one sister, Laura Bell Christian.
