Opal Irene LaRue Coffey, daughter of the late Charles Brown LaRue and Anna Barker LaRue, was born January 21, 1918 at Frisco, south of Essex, Missouri, and passed away September 16, 2014 at Cypress Point Nursing Home at the age of 96.
Mrs. Coffey made a profession of faith at a young age. She was a member of the Second General Baptist Church all of her adult life and served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. An avid gardener, she loved flowers and home-grown vegetables, and always had a beautiful well-kept yard. With an ever-positive outlook, she began oil painting in later life and spent many happy hours painting flowers and birds.
In 1934 she was united in marriage to Loren Coffey, who preceded her in death on June 14, 2004.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Richard Hodder, by two granddaughters Pamela Trammell and Diane (Steve) Hall, by two great-grandsons, Matthew Hall and Tyler Trammell, and by one great-great-grandson, Hunter Hall, all of Dexter. She is also survived by two brothers, Charles B. (Geneva) LaRue, Jr. of Sikeston and Kenneth (Shirley) LaRue of Dexter, as well as many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs Coffey was preceded in death by four brothers, Leo, Chester, Glenn, and Virgil and three sisters, Beulah Arnold, Eloise LaRue, and Joanne Whitledge; by one granddaughter, Terri Hodder and one great grandson, Andrew Trammell.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, September 19, 2014 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M. Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Elijah Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Opal M. Edwards, daughter of the late John A. Cornelison and Myrtle Summers Cornelison, was born on December 17, 1924 in Stoddard County, Missouri and departed this life on September 15, 2014 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri at the age of 89.
Mrs. Edwards was affiliated with the Dexter First Christian Church Disciples of Christ. She had worked at Elders Manufacturing as a seamstress and was a resident of Dexter.
On June 4, 1943, she was united in marriage to Loyd M. Edwards in Dexter, Missouri. Mr. Edwards preceded her in death on February 24, 1996.
She is survived by one son, Roger Edwards and his wife Sandy of Dexter; by two daughters, Ruth Ann Mann and her husband Jerry of McClure, Illinois and Vickie Corlew of Dexter; one son-in-law, Wayne Cagle of Bloomfield, Missouri; by eight grandchildren, Scott Mann, Michelle Hinkle, Cheryl Christian, Steven Cagle, LaMia Hobbs, Preston Edwards, Jessica Corlew, and Lindsey Corlew; by nine great-grandchildren, Kylie Hinkle, Christopher Christian, Bethany Christian, Matthew Cagle, Jacob Cagle, Madison Cagle, Taylor Hobbs, Shelby Hobbs and Rylee Corlew; and by one great-great-granddaughter, Addison Christian.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Sue Edwards and Marilyn Joyce Cagle; by one brother, Buford Cornelison; and by one sister, Vera Darling.

Jody Mason, daughter of the late Joseph Britt and Ada Davis Britt was born on June 13, 1925 in Luray, Tennessee and departed this life on September 13, 2014 at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 89 years.
Mrs. Mason has been a resident of Dexter, Missouri for the past 29 years. Prior to returning to Dexter she was a long time employee of the Memphis City School System. Jody was also a member of the Dexter First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, and her greatest joy in life was to spend time visiting with her extensive network of family and friends. She touched the lives of many and we are all truly blessed for having her in our lives.
On July 26, 1946 she was united in marriage to C.R. Mason in Piggott, Arkansas. They had been married for 68 years.
Survivors include her husband, C.R. Mason of Dexter; by one son and daughter-in-law, Russell Mason and Robin of Nashville, Tennessee; one sister, Midge Shepard of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Kris Jeffrey and husband Dave of Chattanooga, Tennessee; by two great-grandchildren, Austin Shands and Jamie Jeffrey; by one son-in-law, Tom Bailey of Dexter; and also by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Jo Marion Bailey; by one brother, Martin Britt; and by one sister, Mickey Wentzel.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Tuesday September 16, 2014.
Funeral services will then be conducted on Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with Rev. Mike Williams officiating.
Interment will follow on Thursday September 18, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. with a graveside service in the Memphis Memory Gardens Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee.

She had lived in Arnold, Missouri for many years, moved to Zalma in 1976 and later moved to Advance. She had worked at Quick Point Pencil Company for 35 years. After moving to Zalma she and her husband owned and operated the Zalma Liquor Store and then Joe's Place in Advance.
On December 6, 1947, she was married to Joseph Harding "Joe" Heskett in St. Louis.
Surviving are her husband, Joe Heskett of Advance; one son & wife, Michael & Bonnie Heskett of Fenton; five daughters & husbands, Pamela Jo & Dennis Pittman of Millersville, Deborah J. Kahl of Cape Girardeau, Vickie G. & Randy Rhodes of Zalma, Brenda Lea Abernathy and Sharon R. Wade both of Advance; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 15, 2014, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri.
Interment with be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Gordon Noland, of Bloomfield, son of Shirley Burns Noland Campbell and the late Donald M. Noland, was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 3, 1960, and passed away at the Southeast Health Center of Stoddard County in Dexter, Missouri on September 11, 2014, at the age of 54 years and 1 month and 8 days.
He had lived in Bloomfield all of his life and had worked as a farmer. He was a member of the Freedom Road Riders.
Surviving are his mother, Shirley (Burns) Campbell of Bloomfield; one brother, Vincent Noland of Bloomfield; two sisters, Donna O'Neal of Campbell and Kimberly Nevels of Bloomfield; his special friend Mona Morgan of Poplar Bluff; one grandson; seven nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Noland and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitations will be held on Monday, September 15, 2014, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with a funeral service at 7:00 p.m.
