Jenny Palmer

Jenny Palmer

Beulah (Jenny) Palmer, daughter of the late Julius F. Cook and Lola M. Jackson was born on March 20, 1920 in England, Arkansas and departed this life at Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Center in Dexter on October 8, 2013 at the age of 93.

Mrs. Palmer was a member of the First Church of The Nazarene in Dexter; she was baptized and accepted Christ as her Savior at the age of 16.  She was an employee of Elder Manufacturing for 39 years and retired in 1982.  Jenny enjoyed fishing, working puzzles and attending church when she was able.

She was united in marriage to Dwight R. Palmer in Dexter, Missouri on February 23, 1947.  Mr. Palmer preceded her in death on March 19, 2001.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Cook and James Cook; also by one sister, Ruby Cook Ross.

Survivors include several nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 12, 2013.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Roger Wooten officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Earline Smith

Earline Smith, daughter of Lex Donaldson and the late Earsie Mae Davis Donaldson, was born on January 5, 1955 at Tallapoosa, Missouri and departed this life at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Missouri on October 7, 2013 at the age of 58.

Mrs. Smith had been a CNA at Gideon Care Center, had attended House of Prayer and was a resident of Malden.

Survivors include her father, Lex Donaldson of Malden, Missouri; by  two sons, Robert Luciau Smith of Mt. Clements, Michigan and Maurice Montrell Smith of Evansville, Indiana; by two daughters, Deborah Colleen Moore of Clarkton, Missouri and Shanreckia Lanell Walker of Malden, Missouri; by two brothers, E.V. Jones of Cleveland, Ohio and Tommie Donaldson of Malden, Missouri; by three sisters, Virginia Pulley and Marilyn Donaldson both of Mt. Clements, Michigan and Eula Donaldson of Howardsville, Missouri; by 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  Also by other relatives and friends.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Friday, October 11, 2013 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M.  

Funeral services will then be conducted at 2:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel. 

Interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery, Malden, Missouri.  Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Violeta Ruth Maclin

Violetta Ruth Maclin, daughter of the late Lester F. Welch and Nellie May Causbie Welch, was born on February 2, 1938 in Parma, Missouri and passed away on October 6, 2013 at her residence in Parma, Missouri at the age of 75.

Mrs. Maclin was a member of the Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston, Missouri and had worked in the office of Wagner Electric Corporation in St. Louis, Missouri.

On July 18, 1956, she was united in marriage to Abraham L. Maclin in Peach Orchard, Missouri.  Mr. Maclin survives at the home.

In addition to her husband she is survived by one son, Randall “Randy” K. Maclin and his wife Cheryl of Bishop, Georgia; by one daughter, Michele Maclin of Parma, Missouri; by one sister, Carolyn Sue Traylor of Maryville, Tennessee; by three grandchildren, Kristin Farra, Dustin Maclin and Andrea Maclin Mealor; and by two great-grandchildren, Brandon Kramer and Jada Kramer.

Besides her parents, one son, Jeffery Maclin, preceded her in death.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jason Redden officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Darrell Lynn Lillard

Darrell Lynn Lillard, son of Gaylon Lillard and Brenda Leathers Lillard of Dexter, was born on December 22, 1965 and passed away on September 30, 2013 at Medical University Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina at the age of 47 years.

Mr. Lillard was a member of the Faith Assembly of God Church in Summerville, South Carolina and was a resident of Summmerville, South Carolina.  He was self-employed in the construction trade and was a veteran of the United States Navy.

On March 9, 1990, he was united in marriage to RaeLynn Upchurch at Dexter, Missouri.  Mrs. Lillard survives at the home.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by one son, Nickolas Lillard of Charleston, South Carolina and by one daughter, Carrysa Lillard of Charleston, South Carolina.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, October 4, 2013 from 12:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.

 Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Kohlbaker officiating.

Lisa Snider, daughter of the late Kurt and Helene Kuhn, was born on April 2, 1929 in Lichtentanne, Germany and passed away on September 29, 2013 at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 84 years.

Mrs. Snider was a member of the Broadwater Church of the Brethren, a homemaker and a resident of Dexter.

In addition to her parents, one sister, Hanni Moldner, preceded her in death.

She is survived by three sons, Bruce Snider of Lebanon, Tennessee, Stan Snider and Bobby Snider both of Dexter, Missouri; by three daughters, Tanya Wilson of Jackson, Missouri, Kathy Wyrick of Barnhart, Missouri and Cheryl Jennings of Dexter, Missouri; by ten grandchildren, Dex, A.J., Eli, Matt, Nikki, Lisa, Michael, Chelsey, Luke and Heather; and by eleven great-grandchildren, Reece, Elizabeth, Leah, Hadley, McKayla, Colin, Layla, Aubrey, Walker, Lucy and Jude.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 12:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. 

A memorial service will be conducted on October 3, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Marie Froman officiating.
