Brenda Ross
Brenda Ross, daughter of the late William and Bonnie Parks Christman, was born in Bloomfield, Missouri on October 22, 1947, and passed away at her home in Bloomfield, Missouri on September 21 2013, at the age of 65 years, 10 months and 30 days.

She had lived in Bloomfield all of her life. She had worked at Hair Heaven as a hair dresser.

On January 10, 1970, she was married to Gary Don Ross in Dexter, Missouri.

Surviving are her husband, Gary Don Ross of Bloomfield; one son, Michael Ross of Bloomfield; two daughters, Laura Sorbie of Farmington, Missouri, Tina Mayabb of Bloomfield; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Bill Christman of Wappapello and Jim Christman of Hodgens, Oklahoma. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Gary G. Ross, and one sister, Linda McCollough.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter, Missouri
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 26 , 2013, at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri with Brandon Powell of Dexter, Missouri officiating.

Private interment services will be held at a later date at the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

Welton J. Wilson
Welton J. Wilson, son of the late Henry Jay and Henrietta (Wilson)  Wilson, was born in St. Louis, Missouri on January 31, 1920, and passed away at the Southeast Health Center of Stoddard County in Dexter on September 10, 2013, at the age of 93 years, 7 months and 10 days.

He had lived in St. Louis and Herman, Missouri before moving to Dexter in 2002. He was a member of the American Legion and had served in the Army Air Corp.

Surviving are many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon J. Wilson, Howard Wilson; and one sister, Madelyn G. Wrisberg.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 25, 2013, after 9:00 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors.

Interment will be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Donald Ray Thompson
Donald Ray Thompson, son of Mary Brantley Thompson and the late Charles W. Thomson, was born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 19, 1951, and passed away at his home in Shook, Missouri on September 19, 2013, at the age of 61 years and 9 months.

He had lived in St. Louis before moving to the Shook and Greenville area 27 years ago. He was a self employed HVC service business. He attended the Shiloh Baptist Church and loved to hunt and fish.
On October 30, 1971, he was married to Diane Ellen Baker and two sons were born.

Surviving are two sons, Gerald Lee and Jeremy Lee Thompson both of St. Peters, Missouri; one grandson, Tucker Nathaniel Lee Thompson of St. Peters, Missouri; his mother, Mary Thompson of Shook, Missouri; one sister, Dianna Lynn Douthit of Portage De Sioux, Missouri. Other family and friends also survive.

Visitation will be held on Monday September 23, 2013 after 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Monday September 23 , 2013, at 12:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with the Rev. LeeRoy Hefner of McGee, Missouri officiating.

Interment will follow in the Shook Cemetery in Shook, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.

Pansy Marie Graham Wyman
Pansy Marie Graham Wyman, daughter of the late harvey Delbert and Mary Ellen Graham, was born in Parma, Missouri on June 30, 1932, and passed away at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri on September 18, 2013, at the age of 81 years, 2 months and 19 days.

Mrs. Wyman had lived most of her life in Parma. When her husband was active military they had also lived in Texas, Delaware, and Japan.  She was a member at Parma First Baptist Church and enjoyed being a Sunday school teacher, her roses and hummingbirds. She was a great cook, wonderful Nana and she loved her family and her church family.

On March 26, 1953, she was married to Raymond J. Wyman in Piggot, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on November 18, 2010.

Surviving are  one son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Donna Wyman of Wappappello, Missouri;one daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Patrick Johnson of Parma, Missouri; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren, Robert Wyman of Campbell, Missouri, Michael & Vanessa Wyman of Gideon, Missouri, Ryan and Megan Smith of Sikeston, Missouri, Shawn Johnson of Parma, Missouri, Deena and Mike Whelan of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Kelly Ethridge of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Hannah and Nate Persell of Sikeston, Missouri; one brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Velma Graham of Sikeston, Missouri; two sisters, Faye Graham of Arizona and Jeanette Atchley of Texas; and two sister-in-laws, Helen Blevins of O'Fallon, Missouri and Norma Lee Patton of Florida.  Many other family and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Harold Graham, two sisters, Thelma Dodson and Margaret Davis.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013, after 11:00 AM at the Parma First Baptist Church in Parma, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013, at 1:00 PM in the Parma First Baptist Church in Parma, Missouri with the Rev. Kerry Stokes of Charleston, Missouri officiating.

Juvata Ruth Powell, daughter of the late Earl and Elizabeth Tilton Looney, was born in Puxico, Missouri on August 17, 1926, and passed away at the Puxico Nursing & Rehab Center in Puxico, Missouri on September 17, 2013, at the age of 87 years and 1 month.

She had lived for 20 years in Cape Girardeau and had been a resident of Puxico the rest of life. She was a member of the Asherville Church of Christ. She had been a machine operator at International Shoe.
On November 3, 1962, she was married to John Franklin Powell in Puxico, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 14, 2008.

Surviving are one step son, Johnny Powell of Puxico, Missouri; one step daughter, Mary Ann Greer of Puxico, Missouri; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one brother, Jerry Looney of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; and one niece, Vickie Sanders of Sikeston, Missouri. Other family and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Looney and one step daughters, Debbie Ellis.

Visitation will be held on Friday September 20, 2013 after 10:00 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Friday September 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with Bro. Herman Morse of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
