
Juanita Umfleet, daughter of the late Richard and Nora Pullum Gibson, was born in Dexter, Missouri on July 7, 1922, and passed away at her home in Dexter, Missouri on January 13, 2013, at the age of 90 years.
She had lived in Bloomfield before moving to Dexter in 1946. She had attended the Second General Baptist Church since, 1946, and had volunteered at the Gospel Mission in Dexter for over 20 years.
On December 6, 1950, she was married to Clifford Unfleet in Dexter, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 3, 1967.
Surviving are one daughter and spouse, Donna & Ronald Morgan of Dexter, Missouri; three grandchildren and spouse, Bradley and Shaina Morgan of Blytheville, Arkansas, Sarah Waggoner Grisham of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Beth Waggoner Bolton of Joplin, Missouri; three great grandchildren, Preston & Jacob Morgan of Blytheville, Arkansas and Savannah Mae Grisham of Poplar Bluff. Other family and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Jules R. Gibson.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 15, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Josh Carpenter of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Triplett Cemetery near Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Monroe Statler, son of the late Louis Statler and Annie Mae Robinson Statler, was born on January 11, 1923, in Catron, Missouri, and died on January 12, 2013, at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield at the age of 90.
Mr. Statler was a retired car salesman and a resident of Bloomfield.
On April 14, 1951, he was united in marriage to Geneva McAnelly at Piggott, Arkansas. Mrs. Statler survives at their residence in Bloomfield.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Donnie Statler of Paducah, Kentucky, and Kenneth Statler and wife, Renay, of Bloomfield; by three daughters, Clara Ellis and husband, Lonnie, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Ella Johnson and husband, Dearl, of Dexter and Belinda Jones of Bloomfield; by fifteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son, William Gail Statler; by one daughter, Linda Stoker; by one brother, Loy Russell and by three sisters, Ora Kirkpatrick, Zola Kirkpatrick and Stella Jaco.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at 2:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Roger Wooten officiating.
Interment will follow in the Triplett cemetery.

Marjorie Manerva Quick Proffer, daughter of the late Luther F. and Millie A Scism Quick, was born on August 31, 1916, in rural Bloomfield, Missouri and passed away at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on January 10, 2013, at the age of 96 years.
On October 29, 1943, she was married to Lee T. Proffer in Dexter, Missouri. She had lived in Bloomfield all her life, had a teaching career of over 30 years, and had been a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Bloomfield until moving to Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee T. Proffer, four brothers, Asa A. Quick, George O. Quick, Cloid V. Quick and Seldon F. Quick; two sisters, Floda Glaser and Geraldine Quick.
Surviving are one son, James Proffer of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Mary Johnson of Festus; one grandson, Jason Johnson of Festus; and one sister-in-law, Louisa Quick of Bloomfield. She also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit on Monday January 14, 2013, after 12:00 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Funeral services will be held on Monday January 14, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Bro. Jeremy Myers of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the North Antioch Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.

He had lived most of his life in Dexter. He was of Baptist faith.
On June 22, 2000, he was married to Debra Jean Hahs in Chester, Illinois.
Surviving are his wife; Debra Payne of Effingham, Illinois; two sons: Austin Gary Payne and Gage Andrew Tyler Payne, both of Effingham, Illinois; his mother, Barbara Belt of Dexter, Missouri; two brothers, Kenny Payne of Blythville, Arkansas and Jimmy Payne of Bowling Green, Missouri; Other relatives and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Rhonda Payne.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 13, 2013, from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter, Missouri.

He had lived in California, Washington DC, and Missouri. He worked as a newspaper printer for the St. Louis Post Dispatch. He was of Baptist faith and loved to fish, hunt, play pool, and card games.
Surviving are three sons; Jocko Surber of Dallas, Texas, Telly Surber of Shawnee, Kansas, and Tike Surber of Shawnee, Kansas; two brothers, Clayton Surber of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Harrison Surber of Little Rock, Arkansas; and one sister, Lena Kline of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Loretta Surber.
A memorial service is planned for a later date with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
