
He had lived most of his life in Dexter. He was of Baptist faith.
On June 22, 2000, he was married to Debra Jean Hahs in Chester, Illinois.
Surviving are his wife; Debra Payne of Effingham, Illinois; two sons: Austin Gary Payne and Gage Andrew Tyler Payne, both of Effingham, Illinois; his mother, Barbara Belt of Dexter, Missouri; two brothers, Kenny Payne of Blythville, Arkansas and Jimmy Payne of Bowling Green, Missouri; Other relatives and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Rhonda Payne.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 13, 2013, from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 14, 2013, at 12:00 PM at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter, Missouri officiating with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

He had lived in California, Washington DC, and Missouri. He worked as a newspaper printer for the St. Louis Post Dispatch. He was of Baptist faith and loved to fish, hunt, play pool, and card games.
Surviving are three sons; Jocko Surber of Dallas, Texas, Telly Surber of Shawnee, Kansas, and Tike Surber of Shawnee, Kansas; two brothers, Clayton Surber of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Harrison Surber of Little Rock, Arkansas; and one sister, Lena Kline of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Loretta Surber.
A memorial service is planned for a later date with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.

Frances June Bostic, daughter of the late Willie Theodore Cox and Lillian Henson Cox, was born on May 12, 1933, in Kewanee, Missouri, and died on January 10, 2013, at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield at the age of 79.
Mrs. Bostic was a faithful member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield. After retiring from the Elder Manufacturing Company in Bloomfield, she worked at Martin Hill’s Retirement Home and was a resident of Bloomfield. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
On August 17, 1951, she was united in marriage to Elmer Bostic in Sikeston, Missouri. Mr. Bostic preceded her in death on September 8, 2003.
She is survived by two sons, Albert Bostic and Narvel Bostic, both of Bloomfield; by two daughters, Linda Edwards of Bloomfield and Teresa Swallows of Huntington, Tennessee; by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, January 11, 2013, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
Funeral services will then be conducted on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bill Pennington officiating. Interment will follow in the Bloomfield cemetery.

Gerald Wayne Ratley, son of Ramona Slover Ratley and the late Harold Dow Ratley, was born on August 24, 1946, at Bonne Terre, Missouri, and passed away on January 7, 2013, at his residence in Dudley, Missouri, at the age of 66.
Mr. Ratley was employed as a financial advisor for W.W. Wood. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and belonged to the First Baptist Church in Farmington, Missouri. He also was an avid bass fisherman.
On November 17, 1994, he was united in marriage to Loretta Law in Dexter, Missouri. Mrs. Ratley resides at the home.
In addition to his mother and his wife, he is survived by one sister, Karyl Minson of Dexter, Missouri; by two step-daughters, Brenda Moore of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Ruth Dunavant of Fisk, Missouri; and by nine grandchildren, Will Moore, Kyndal Moore, Gerald T. Ratley, Marisa Weathers, Mason Ratly, Garrett Ratley, Brandon Ratley, Christina Dunavant and Dale Dunavant.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by one son, Harold Wayne Ratley.
A graveside service was conducted on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Jim Hoyt officiating. Interment followed at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Missouri. Arrangements were handled by the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Brenda S. Odle, daughter of the late Elvis Alfred and Emma Harvey Brown, was born in rural Stoddard County, Missouri on November 10, 1946, and passed away at her home in Desoto, Texas on January 5, 2013, at the age of 66 years.
She was a former resident of the Circle City community, and moved to Texas twenty years ago.
Surviving are two sons & spouses, Jeff & Lisa Brown of Essex, Missouri, Mark & Karen Odle of Uniontown, Missouri; four grandchildren, Brandy McCain of Whitewater, Missouri, Matthew Odle of Sikeston, Missouri, Courteney Odle of Uniontown, Missouri, Tiffany Brown of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; one brother & wife, Joe & Wanda Brown of Duncanville, Texas; and one sister, Betty Beardsley of Sullivan, Missouri. Other family and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Casey, Ruth Bolin and Mary Brown, and one brother, Jimmy Brown.
Visitation will be held on Friday January 11, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Steve Fitzpatrick of Dexter officiating.
Interment will follow in the Triplett Cemetery near Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
