Leroy Armbruster, Sr., son of Geraldine Kennedy Armbruster and the late James Armbruster, was born on August 5, 1947, in Highland, Illinois and passed away at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, on May 25, 2012, at the age of 64..
Mr. Armbruster was a former resident of the Bernie area and had lived in the Festus and Bonne Terre areas for many years. He was a self employed automobile mechanic.
Surviving are two sons, Leroy Armbruster, Jr. of Nampa, Idaho and Josh Armbruster of Kuttawa, Kentucky; by five daughters, Patty Jennings and Tanny Hon both of Bernie, Denise Walker of Gideon, Cheryl Ramey of Lesage, West Virginia, Brandi Walker of Dexter; by his mother, Geraldine Armbruster of Festus; 21 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Joe Armbruster of Festus, and two sisters, Margaret Shelton and Brenda McGee both of Festus; other relatives and many friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Armbruster.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday May 29, 2012, at the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military honors.
Interment will be in the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield in charge of all arrangements.
