Lester “Gene” Stoker, son of the late Lester Woodrow Stoker and Mildred Ruby Hudgens was born on December 26, 1939 in Bloomfield, Missouri and departed this life at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on November 27, 2011 at the age of 71 years.

Mr. Stoker worked for Brown Construction Company in Dexter for many years and was a resident of Dexter.

Survivors include two sons, Russell Stoker and Ethan Stoker both of Dexter; by two brothers, Robert Stoker and Lonnie Stoker both of Dexter; by five sisters, Marge Rickman of Dexter, Rachel Weaver and Janice McCollum both of Bloomfield, Missouri, Kay Marsh of California, and Pat Moore of Dexter; also by two grandsons, Aaron and Brett Stoker both of Dexter.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leon  and Jim Stoker; and by one sister, Linda Stoker.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter  from 12;30 until 2 p.m., Friday December 2, 2011. A memorial service will be conducted on Friday December 2, 2011 at 2 p.m.,. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
