
Darcy Craig Highton, 42, of Dexter died Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
He was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, Canada on March 4, 1969.
Darcy was Chief Technological Officer for Gill Group, Inc. in Dexter.
On December 27, 2008, he was married to Brooke Gill of Dexter, and she survives.
Also left to cherish his memories are his parents, Al & Shirley Highton of North Battleford, Saskatchewan; twin daughters Jasmine of Swift Current, Saskatchewan, and Kelsey of Calgary; and two sisters, Candy Ernst of Rabbit Lake, Saskatchewan, and Tara Tait of North Battleford.
A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Tom Bass, was held at the First Presbyterian Church in Dexter on Sunday, September 11, 2011. A memorial service will also be held in North Battleford.
The family requests that memorials be made to 18 Fore Life.
Leo Tibbs, son of the late James W. Tibbs and Mary C. Hellums Tibbs was born on January 20, 1919 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and departed this life on September 8, 2011 at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 92 years.
Mr. Tibbs was the former owner and operator of Hickory House Restaurant for many years in Dexter, veteran of the United States Army, and a resident of Dexter.
On November 9, 1968 he was united in marriage to Christine Leathers in Dexter, Missouri. Mrs. Tibbs preceded him in death on December 15, 2007.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Goodman of Dexter; one brother, John Tibbs of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; by one sister, Lorene Scott of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; one granddaughter, Lori Moore of Dexter; by one great-grandson, Heath Moore of Dexter; and by two great-great-grandchildren, Halie Moore and Keagan Moore.
Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Leo Tibbs; one daughter, Ruby Elaine Hurley; by three brothers, Ralph Tibbs, Evert Tibbs, and Richard Tibbs; and by one sister, Grace May Tibbs.
Friends may call from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday, September 12, 2011, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday September 13, 2011 at 1 p.m., at the Missouri StateVeterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with Rev. Kenneth Biggs officiating. Interment will follow with full Military Honors.
Mr. Hudgens had lived his whole life in the Bloomfield and Puxico area. He was a retired fork lift operator for Arvin.
He is survived by his three daughters: Charlotte Phillips of Bloomfield and Angela Wallis and Tina Roberts both of St. Louis, Missouri. Eleven grandchildren: Danny Wallis and Earl Wood of St. Louis, Missouri, Kevin Craig of Dixon, Tennessee, Kaitlynn and Keirstynn Hudgens of Brazil, Indiana and Dalton, Kiley, Karsynn, Cole and Kendall Phillips all of Bloomfield, Missouri. One Sister: Dorothy Compton of Dexter, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one son: Hubert Dale Hudgens, Jr.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 8, 2011, after 11 a.m., at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 8, 2011, at 2 p.m., at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Susan Hoyle of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
She had lived most her life in the Dexter area. She was of the Pentecostal Faith.
She was married to Rosewell Sylvester Lutes in Morehouse, Missouri. On April 25, 1960. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are her four sons: David Wasbutsky and Robert Lutes of Dexter, Missouri, Johnny Wasbutsky of Parma, Missouri and Joe Wasbutsky of Paducah, Kentucky; four daughters: Phyllis J. Hayden, Lorrie Kimball, and Monica R. Fowler of Dexter, Missouri and Sandra D. Landers of Canalou, Missouri; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Julius Wasbutsky, several brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 3, 2011, after 5 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 4, 2011, at 1 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. James Davis of Oxford, Pennsylvania and Rev. Steve Commins of Niles, Michigan officiating.
Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
Horn has lived most of his life in the Dexter, Missouri area and was a truck driver.
He was married to Sharon Sue Alberson on September 12, 1964. And she preceded him in death on September 11, 2009.
Surviving are three sons, Darin and Shane Horn of Dexter, Missouri and Bobby Horn, Jr. of Ormond Beach, Florida; four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren; two brothers, Jesse Horn, Jr. of Dexter, Missouri, and Terry Gene Horn of Jacksonville, Florida; four sisters, Verneal Durbin of Bloomfield, Missouri, Nadine Teeters of Circle City, Missouri, Anne Smith of Boise, Idaho, and Nina Wiliamson of Puxico, Missouri. Many other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers John and Herman Horn, two sisters, Wilda Mae Menley and Lana Spencer.
Friends may visit on Friday, September 2, 2011, from 5 until 8 p.m., at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
