Mary Francis Stevens

Mary Francis Stevens, daughter of the late George and Gertrude Tucker Bennett, was born in Bloomfield, Missouri on September 3, 1928, and passed away at the Country Club Care Center in Warrensburg, Missouri on July 22, 2011, at the age of 82 years.
Mrs. Stevens was a long time resident of Bloomfield, Missouri until moving to be closer to her family in the Warrensburg, Missouri area several years ago. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield, Missouri.
On July 2, 1967, she was married to Howard Stevens in Bloomfield, Missouri. He preceded her in death on March 8, 1997.
Surviving are two sons, George Baldwin of Knob Noster, Missouri, Barry Baldwin of Bloomfield, Missouri; five grandchildren; several great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents & husband she was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Bennett and one sister, Jean Whitfield.
Friends may call on Monday, July 25, 2011, after 10 a.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, July 25, 2011, in the Chiles-Cooper Chapel in Bloomfield, Missouri with the Rev. Kevin Eskew of Bloomfield officiating. Interment will be in the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.

William Eaker

William Eaker, son of the late Hermel and Ina Fortner Eaker, was born in Parma, Missouri on January 8, 1930, and passed away at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Missouri on July 21, 2011, at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 13 days.
Mr. Eaker had lived briefly in St. Louis but had lived most of his life in Bloomfield, Missouri. He was a retired carpenter and farmer. On January 2, 1960, he was married to Erma McConnell in Potosi, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Erma Eaker of Bloomfield, Missouri; two sons, Ernie Morton of Bloomfield, Missouri, Roy Morton of Barnhart, Missouri; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; and one brother, Edward Eaker of Morehouse, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother.
Friends may call on Sunday, July 24, 2011, from 5 until 8 p.m., at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Vivian G. Hodge, daughter of the late Harry and Vallie Revelle Johns, was born in Advance, Missouri on October 17, 1920, and passed away at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on July 20, 2011, at the age of 90 years, 9 months and 3 days.
She had lived in the Puxico, Missouri area all her life. She attended the Life Chapel Assembly of God Church in Puxico and enjoyed sewing and quilting.
On February 4, 1942, she was married to Troy Hodge in Puxico, Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 21, 1998.
Surviving are one son & spouse, Gary & Phyllis Hodge of Advance, Missouri; six grandchildren & spouses, Sherry Trout, Glenn & Tammie Hodge, Jamie & Shawnta Hodge, Dwayne & Lisa Dunning, Barbara Felks, Tammie & Eric Angel; eleven great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and one brother, Bobby Johns of Jerseyville, Illiniois. Other relatives and friends also survive.
Friends may call on Sunday, July 24, 2011, after 12 p.m., at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.

Mary Bessie Woodruff

Mary Bessie Woodruff, daughter of the late Ira Purcell and Alta Riddle Purcell, was born February 2, 1922 in Dexter and departed this life on July 15, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Dexter at the age of 89.
Mrs. Woodruff was affiliated with the United Pentecostal Church in Dexter, a home maker and a resident of Dexter.
On March 17, 1939 she was united in marriage to Robert Harold Woodruff in Dexter. Mr. Woodruff preceded her in death on July 11, 1996.
Mrs. Woodruff is survived by one daughter, Linda Wallace and husband Donald of Hartland, Michigan; by four grandchildren, Julie Jackson, Cherie Ives, Becky Bolitho, and Matthew Wallace, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Billy Gene Woodruff; by one daughter, Shirley Cobb; by two sisters, Mildred McCoy and Ellen Pullum; and by four grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5 until 8 p.m., Sunday, July 17, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 18, 2011 at 10:30 a.m., in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bill Burke officiating. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery.

Gladys Lorene Steward

Gladys Lorene Steward, daughter of the late Fred and Delpha Campbell Cantrell, was born in Thayer, Missouri on April 9, 1927, and passed away at the Southern Missouri Healthcare in Dexter on July 13, 2011, at the age of 84.
Gladys worked at Senath Nursing Home for 23 years as a CNA, retired in 1993 and moved to Bloomfield. She enjoyed word search puzzles, yard sales, and family reunions, especially fourth of July and family get togethers. She also loved Josh Turner and Elvis Presley along with country music shows. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas, she was like a little kid opening presents and especially enjoyed her grandchildren when opening their gifts. She attended the First Assembly of God Church in Bloomfield before her illness kept her from attending.
Surviving are six sons and spouses, Ivan & Tanya Bostic of Bloomfield; Clyde Bostic of Nixa; Jim and Mary Bostic of Flint, Mich., Wayne & Faye Bostic of Dexter, Ronnie and Regina Bostic of Wilson, Arkansas, Gene Gillenwater of Nixa, Missouri; one daughter, Deborah Gillenwater of Kennett; 23 grandchildren, Connie, Calvin, Ivan Jr., Tracy, Dwayne, Wendy, Amy, Jason, Chad, Angie, Rusty, Beth Ann, Tony, Anthony, Tina, Mike, Alicia, Alan, Catrese, Ronnie Joe, Shane, Sara and Eric; 43 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one brother, Herbert Cantrell of Bald Knob, Arkansas; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Hubert Cantrell and one great grandchild.
