Dexter, Missouri - The Keller Public Library will begin their fall Story Hour Programs beginning Tuesday, September 8, 2015.
Story Hour is each Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. Reita LeBeau and Kim Cook will open the season with “Take Off to Story Time!”
Tuesday, September 15th Mary Ann Taylor will present “Mrs. Honey’s Hat”.
Tuesday, September 22nd Sam and Jeannie Huey will bring a Petting Zoo and present “Watch Out for Germs!” You know the Stoddard County Fair is near when the animals make their special appearance.
September 29th “Fall Magic” presented by Melanie Stoelting from Parents as Teachers. She will also answer any questions you may have about PAT and if you haven’t joined, that will be the perfect time.
Story Hour is a feature of the Keller Public Library and is free and open to the public. Bring your youngster to the library for a weekly treat!

He talked with the youngsters about each animal's habitat and what they like to eat. The children seemed to be quite knowledgeable as they raised their hands to answer his various questions. He also went over the do's and don'ts of when you see a wild animal outdoors. Some can be very dangerous!
"Never take a wild animal and try to make a pet!"
On Wednesday, July 15th at 11:00 a.m. the final summer reading program will be "Crafts and Ice Cream Sundaes!" YUM! Sounds like a great program! Everyone come out and enjoy! School will begin very soon for the older children!
Dexter, Missouri - Keller Public Library hosted another great Summer Reading Program on Wednesday, July 1st. Magician Marty Hahne delighted youngsters and adults with his mighty magic.
Marty has almost 30 years experience performing magic. He is regarded as one of the top entertainers for children and recently flew to New Zealand to teach at their international magic conference.
The children were completely engaged throughout Marty’s performance. There were even a few adults wondering how he performed some of his magical feats. It was certainly one of the most entertaining moments in library history.
The "Every Hero Has a Story" series continued Wednesday, July 8th at 11:00 a.m. with Missouri Conservation Agent Mark Reed. He will present a program on animals native to Missouri.

Dexter, Missouri – Who knew these folks could sing!!!! The Keller Public Library continued this week with the series of “Every Hero Has a Story”. This week included musical entertainment with our city officials and other local heroes.
This week’s presentation consisted of Fire Chief Don Seymore, Engineer Darryl Orr, Mayor Joe Weber, City Administrator Mark Stidham, Police Officer Lori O’Dell, Mary Ann Taylor, National Guard veterans Charles Cooper and Laura Cooper, and storyteller Kim Cook.
The Hero series continues each Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. until July 15th. On June 24th, live animals from Animal Tales will be on hand to present “Animal Avengers”. Should be an exciting story hour at Keller Public Library!!
