Donna Kay Haynes, daughter of the late James Clark and Anna Mae Florence Clark, was born on November 27, 1951, in Bellmont, Illinois, and departed this life on April 9, 2024, at Mercy Hospital Stoddard in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 72 years.
Mrs. Haynes was a former housekeeper at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri, and a resident of Dexter. She enjoyed watching TV game shows, and cooking, and she loved keeping her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
On May 9, 1981, in Essex, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Randy Haynes. Mr. Haynes survives of their home in Dexter.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her son, Billy Arthur of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; by two daughters, Tracy Graves (Chris) of Dexter, Missouri, and Amy Arthur (Dustin Sullivan) of Dexter, Missouri; by four grandchildren, Brittany Hargrave (Kyle), Haylee Arthur, Hannah Arthur, and Christopher Graves; and by six great-grandchildren, Braxton Graves, Colton Kilburn, Easton Graves, Jaxson Arthur, Avah Roberts, and Lily Arthur.
Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Donald Clark, Larry Clark, Gary Clark, and Roger Clark.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, April 12, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Bill Pennington officiating. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery.

Ester Grace Asbell, 97, died April 7, 2024, at the Prairie View Skilled Nursing Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.
She was born on April 11, 1926, in Ezra, Illinois, and was the daughter of the late John Adams and Grace Strobel McCain Adams.
Ester worked as a seamstress in the Elder Factory in Bloomfield for many years. She was known for her beautiful flowers and yardwork, and she loved cooking for her family. Her famous chocolate chip cookies were a hit for all. Ester was also a member of the Liberty Hill General Baptist Church in Aid, Missouri.
On October 9, 1943, she married Walter Asbell. He preceded her in death in 2007.
Ester loved her family dearly, she had three children, two of which preceded her in death: infant son, Ronnie Walter Asbell and daughter, Jewell Maddox.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Jewell Teets, Amos McCain, Aaron McCain, W.A. McCain, and John Quincy Adams.
Ester is survived by her daughter, Janice (Bill) Aslin of Bloomfield, Missouri; Buddy Maddox, son-in-law; four grandchildren, Buddy Jr. (Laura) Maddox, Travis (Cathy) Maddox, Sonja (Michael) Hobbs, and Sarah (Bret) Barton; nine great-grandchildren, Trevor (Amanda) Maddox, Troy (Emily) Maddox, Aleigha (Simon) McWhorter, Ariana Maddox, Erica (Evan) Qu, Megan Maddox, Brant Hobbs, Brooke Barton, and Kinley Barton; and three great-great grandchildren, Vera Maddox, Hannah and Olivia Maddox.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 p.m. This will be a family-led service. Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.

Dallas Lee McRoy, son of the late Edward Dallas McRoy and Gloria Becraft McRoy, was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on August 20, 1958, and departed this life on April 7, 2024, at Mercy Hospital of Stoddard County.
Mr. McRoy was a mechanic for the Missouri Department of Transportation at the Sikeston and Dexter sheds. He enjoyed fishing and playing pool. He never met a stranger and was a jack of all trades. He loved spending time and playing with his dog DC.
He was united in marriage to Linda Holford McRoy on September 21, 1979, in Bloomfield, Missouri. Mrs. McRoy survives of their home in Bloomfield, Missouri.
He attended the Beech Grove General Baptist Church in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Other than his wife he is survived by one son, Corey Lee McRoy of Sikeston, Missouri; two sisters, Darlene Bowling of Bloomfield, Missouri and Tresia Barnes of Bloomfield, Missouri; and by many nieces and nephews, cousins, additional family and many friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday April 10, 2024, at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will then be conducted Wednesday April 10, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Sanders officiating.

Jerry Delain Robison, son of the late Elwood and Nadine Robison, was born on July 6, 1942, in Advance, Missouri. He departed this life April 7, 2024, at his home in Kinder north of Puxico, Missouri, at the age of 81 years.
Delain shared over six decades of marriage with his beloved wife, Marjorie Fish, whom he married on July 13, 1963. Together, they faced life's challenges and celebrated its joys.
Education was Delain's passion. He graduated from Advance High School in 1960 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Southeast Missouri State University in 1965. Delain continued his studies while working full-time and raising four children. He obtained a masters degree in education and administration, as well as a Specialist degree, from Southeast Missouri State University.
His passion for education was evident throughout his career. He began teaching fourth and sixth grades at Pattonville School District in North County, St. Louis, where he dedicated five years of service. He then transitioned to the role of elementary principal at Puxico School District, where he served for an impressive 22 years. Later, as superintendent at the Advance School District, Delain helped lead transformative initiatives that shaped the schools educational landscape. He worked at the Advance District seven years before retiring in 1999.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Delain found joy in family, farming, and community. Marjorie and their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the center of his world. Their shared memories of life on the family farm in Kinder, MO, brought them immense happiness over the years. Faith was central to Delain's life. He served as a deacon at Brown General Baptist Church and later attended the First Baptist Church in Advance. In retirement, his commitment to service remained. Delain contributed his time to the New Lisbon township board. He was also a member of the Stoddard County Retired Teachers Association.
Delains legacy lives on through his beloved wife, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and countless friends and acquaintances. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elwood and Nadine.
In addition to his wife, Marjorie, Delain is survived by four children: Bradley (Paula) Robison of Advance, William (Tracy) Robison, of Bloomfield, Marla (Jim) Clark and Brian (Tracy) Robison of Puxico nine grandchildren: Garrett (Sara) Robison of Columbia, Joshua (Lydia) Robison of Bloomfield, Erin (Travis) Luther of Columbia, Katelyn (Benjamin) Lambert of Puxico, Mallory Clark of Puxico, Caroline (Don) Gibbs of Bloomfield, Will (Jacey) Robison of Cape Girardeau, Caleb and
Logan Robison of Puxico five great grandchildren: Layla and Bennett Robison, Madison and Vivian Lambert, and Baby Gibbs on the way four siblings: Lura Robins, Bonnie (Craig) Rhodes, Eddie Robison, Terry (Janet) Robison all of Advance. As we bid farewell to a remarkable man whose impact reached far and wide, we remember Delain for his kindness, generosity, and the difference he made in the lives of all who knew him. May his life continue to inspire us.
Visitation to honor Delain will be held at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Missouri, on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00p.m. Funeral services will be in the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 10:00 am.
Interment will take place at Brown Cemetery, north of Puxico.
Bobby C. Alexander, son of the late W. C. Alexander and Lorine Rosson Alexander, was born on March 14, 1939, in Piggott, Arkansas, and departed this life on April 3, 2024, at Prairie View Skilled Nursing in Bloomfield, Missouri, at the age of 85 years.
Mr. Alexander was a former electrical engineer for McDonald Aircraft in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a member of the Dexter Masonic Lodge and a resident of Dexter. He enjoyed coin collecting and gardening, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren and especially his great-grandchildren.
On August 1, 1957, in Grayridge, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Virgie Scowden. Mrs. Alexander preceded him in death on January 9, 2017.
He is survived by three sons, Bob C. Alexander Jr. and wife Kathy of Portland, Oregon, Gregory Alan Alexander of Dexter, Missouri and Kerry Alexander of Dexter, Missouri; by his sister, Pat Alexander Rapp of St. Charles, Missouri; by two grandchildren, Jessie Alexander and Bobby Alexander III; and by three great-grandchildren, Alexiyah Rivera, Cymberlyn Rivera, and Izabella Alexander.
Other than by his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Billy Alexander, Fred Alexander, and Donald Alexander.
